[history]
Last night I read an article by Dr. Paul L. Williams. In the article Dr. Williams states that the Obama adminstration will give $4 billion of our tax dollars to the UN Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and malaria. That's a 38% increase over other years. They are dreadful diseases, for sure, but at a time when many people are unemployed is that wise?

I watched some of the between Russ Feingold and Ron Johnson debate last night. Feingold was rattling of bunch meaningless words, as career politicians do. Johnson was knowledgeable and sincere.

I'm UP, Raven!....drinking coffee and surfing the web.
Breaking News: Miss Marple is on her way to England this morning!!
It warms the cockles of my heart to read all the articles about gobs of Obama's former worshipers having the lights come on for them about the REAL One's clay feet.
He's all over the place making carbon footprints in AirForce I pleading for Dem voters to defeat Republicans...even reduced to calling Reps. Slurpee sippers...Lordy...LOL.
A witty post I read this morning: "Does having purple lips kill you? How long does it take?" :o)

Thanks. Good morning. It’s a little chilly out there.

Good morning! I have a question. We think that the pubs may win back both the House and the Senate. And since, Caligula loves using Executive Orders, I suspect that he will use EOs even more.
These are my questions:
- Are there limits to what he can order via EO?
- What are those limitations?
- How long do EOs remain in place?
- Are there Congressional overrides to EOs?

I think a 2/3 vote will override.

I don't think there is a limit on his perogative to make EOs.
Perhaps a Republican majority in Congress can nullify some of them by not funding them. At least, let's hope so.
If we vote enough pubs into office to take the prize, they must NOT get wobbly.

I believe the answers to 1 and 2 are that an EO is only limited by the Constitution. It cannot violate the Constitution or it is null and void.
As far as the time frame in 3, I believe an EO remains in place until it self-defines a time limit, but I am certain that any future president can rescind it, just as easily as a previous president signed it.
I have no idea if Congress can override it.
