This young lady who’s husband was killed on a lake by the mexicans

Falcon Lake isn't far from us. I can't understand why in the world they didn't obey the buoy warnings and stay on the US side, except they were supposedly taking pictures of the now submerged Old Guerrero mission.

Plus, they had been living in Reynosa previously to this....and Reynosa is a rough town. Some missionaries I know were doing prison ministry there and have mostly had to stop because of the danger over there.

Anyway, I wonder if having just lived in Mexico sort of desensitized this young couple as to the dangers. Mr. Prairie also wonders if seeing them taking pictures of the old mission prompted the cartel's attack on them.

She's lucky to be alive herself.

Did anyone else witness the attack from the mexican gangs? Is the lake mostly empty or is it used for recreation? What is the scuttlebutt in the area?
