(NECN: Washington) - A press conference was held this afternoon at the National Press Club in Washington, where at least a dozen former U.S. Air Force personnel, mostly officers who worked on secret projects connected to sensitive nuclear weapons sites, are admitting that they were privy to UFO and alien-related incidents -- that occurred during their time of service.

In this clip, you will hear from: Retired Air Force Captain Robert Salas, Former Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Dwayne Arneson and Former Air Force Official Bill Jameson

WorldviewDad, I read through your back and forth postings with Quix about this topic. I do not doubt that you Love our Lord Jesus Christ and applaud your tag line. I do agree with Quix about perfectionism in your posts. You world view seems sort of comfortable and “boxed in”. If your box happens to be shaken some day soon, Do not rely on what you assume to be true. Instead, just lean on your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. You will do fine.

The short answer, is, yes or mostly yes.

The Vatican has not emphatically owned publically up to that conviction, dogma, belief.

However, reportedly the highest officials in the Vatican are of that conviction—including the Pope.

There is a slight caveat—either benign or helpful toward saving us from ourselves etc. etc. yada yada yada.

Yeah, and that’s one point over which I disagree with the Rabbi. Even after we depart this mortal coil, we have existence, as shown via New Testament passages. If we exist and function than we are in a spacetime realm, albeit a different set of variables than are our present limits.

THANKS THANKS.

I think some of the other videos listed alongside that one are likely better about the Vatican and what the hierarchy now believes about ET’s.

So are you saying that we should accept what the world has to offer even if it does not line up with Scripture so that we are not to be “boxed in”? This seems to be the same argument that I have seen used by Christians that believe in evolution...”but the science tells us”...and then their faith in the Word of God is shaken...and then years later when the science is shown to be wrong what do they have to hold on to...?

If accepting the fact that God said what He meant and meant what He said puts me into a “box” I am ok with that...God made that box...and that comfort that you mention is actually called peace.

“There are three kinds of people in this world: those who are afraid, those who don't know enough to be afraid, and those who know their Bible.” -Adrian Rogers

“If God didn't mean what He said, why didn't He say what He meant?” -Adrian Rogers

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Kings 15:3 And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God...

1 Kings 15:14 ...nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the Lord all his days.

2 Kings 20:3 I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

Acts 3:16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

1 Corinthians 2:6-7 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory

Colossians 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus

Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

From the verses quoted above I do not see where perfection or the pursuit of perfection is looked upon in the Scriptures as a bad thing. I believe that Scripture actually tells us that we should pursue it as it relates to our relationship with God. As in the last verse quoted, I have not attained to perfection but it appears that now two people have noted seeing some of it in me...thank you.

P.S. When the world is shaken I will hold to the Word of God...and yes I will do fine.

Did God tell you to exclude the Book of Enoch I from your compilation of Scripture?

No, I opened the front cover and looked at the table of contents.

Your argument could be used for any book...the extra books in the Catholic Bible, the changed wording in the JW bible, the Book of Mormon, etc....

Did God specifically tell you to include it?

Actually, Jude, the brother of the Lord, speaks of and points to Enoch and what he prophesied.

Where would you learn of these prophesies (Enoch's prophesies were apparently part of Scriptural learning and teaching during the time our Lord was in the flesh...and before)? Do you know why the Book of Enoch I is not in the table of contents of your Bible?

Jude 1:14
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Jud 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Did God specifically tell you to include it?

Yes, by the way...in no uncertain terms. Of course, you wouldn't nor should you take my word for it. You would have to seek your own answer in prayer and fasting.

By the way, I pinged Alamo-Girl above because I am about to mention her.

There is a person here at FR who, in addition to her faith and humility, is quite an authority on Enoch I and why is was often "avoided" by some Church authorities and Rabbinical scholars.

Just the other day she reminded me of the following (and I quote her comment--source)...

Many of the early church fathers also supported the Enochian writings. Justin Martyr ascribed all evil to demons whom he alleged to be the offspring of the angels who fell through lust for women (from the Ibid.)–directly referencing the Enochian writings.

Athenagoras, writing in his work called Legatio in about 170 A.D., regards Enoch as a true prophet. He describes the angels which "violated both their own nature and their office." In his writings, he goes into detail about the nature of fallen angels and the cause of their fall, which comes directly from the Enochian writings.

Many other church fathers: Tatian (110-172); Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons (115-185); Clement of Alexandria (150-220); Tertullian (160-230); Origen (186-255); Lactantius (260-330); in addition to: Methodius of Philippi, Minucius Felix, Commodianus, and Ambrose of Milanalso–also approved of and supported the Enochian writings…

And this might address the issue of why Enoch I was not included in your table of contents--to continue Alamo-Girl's comment...
The Book of Enoch (also known as 1 Enoch) was once cherished by Jews and Christians alike, this book later fell into disfavor with powerful theologians–precisely because of its controversial statements on the nature and deeds of the fallen angels…

The theme of the Book of Enoch dealing with the nature and deeds of the fallen angels so infuriated the later Church fathers that one, Filastrius, actually condemned it openly as heresy (Filastrius, Liber de Haeresibus, no. 108). Nor did the rabbis deign to give credence to the book’s teaching about angels. Rabbi Simeon ben Jochai in the second century A.D. pronounced a curse upon those who believed it (Delitzsch, p. 223).

So the book was denounced, banned, cursed, no doubt burned and shredded–and last but not least, lost (and conveniently forgotten) for a thousand years. But with an uncanny persistence, the Book of Enoch found its way back into circulation two centuries ago.

In 1773, rumors of a surviving copy of the book drew Scottish explorer James Bruce to distant Ethiopia. True to hearsay, the Book of Enoch had been preserved by the Ethiopic church, which put it right alongside the other books of the Bible…

Though it was once believed to be post-Christian (the similarities to Christian terminology and teaching are striking), recent discoveries of copies of the book among the Dead Sea Scrolls found at Qumran prove that the book was in existence before the time of Jesus Christ. But the date of the original writing upon which the second century B.C. Qumran copies were based is shrouded in obscurity. It is, in a word, old…

There is abundant proof that Christ approved of the Book of Enoch. Over a hundred phrases in the New Testament find precedents in the Book of Enoch.

Another remarkable bit of evidence for the early Christians’ acceptance of the Book of Enoch was for many years buried under the King James Bible’s mistranslation of Luke 9:35, describing the transfiguration of Christ: "And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is my beloved Son: hear him." Apparently the translator here wished to make this verse agree with a similar verse in Matthew and Mark. But Luke’s verse in the original Greek reads: "This is my Son, the Elect One (from the Greek ho eklelegmenos, lit., "the elect one"): hear him."

The "Elect One" is a most significant term (found fourteen times) in the Book of Enoch. If the book was indeed known to the apostles of Christ, with its abundant descriptions of the Elect One who should "sit upon the throne of glory" and the Elect One who should "dwell in the midst of them," then the great scriptural authenticity is accorded to the Book of Enoch when the "voice out of the cloud" tells the apostles, "This is my Son, the Elect One"–the one promised in the Book of Enoch.

The Book of Jude tells us in vs. 14 that "Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied…" Jude also, in vs. 15, makes a direct reference to the Book of Enoch (2:1), where he writes, "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly…" …

Certainly Scripture says

"BE PERFECT AS I AM PERFECT."

Scripture also says there is

NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE.

And that anyone who thinks they are without sin, is a liar.

So, where is Holy Spirit's wisdom amidst these very Biblical statements?

imho . . .

1. Perfection is unattainable in this life/time/space dimension.

2. REACHING TOWARD THE MARK OF THE HIGH CALLING IN JESUS is still a worthy GOAL AS LED BY HOLY SPIRIT.

3. HOWEVER, Scripture gives plenty of indications that WE CANNOT remotely achieve perfection TO ANY DEGREE IN OUR OWN STRENGTH

4. HOWEVER, the mentality, STRIVING, obsessiveness, drivenness, insecurities etc. involved with HUMAN PERFECTION SEEKING and "RELIGIOUS" PRACTICES, EFFORTS are, according to Paul, more or less deadly, counter productive, flesh driven, even evil.

5. And, modern research shows that St Paul is quite accurate:

6. The driven perfectionism that characterizes so many arises out of some level of attachment disorder fostered insecurity and a GRITTED TEETH DETERMINATION to "BE PERFECT" . . . at LEAST to ACT PERFECT . . . to earn our salvation, to earn approval of others etc. etc. etc.

7. PERFECTIONISTS ARE NOT AS SUCCESSFUL as nonperfectionists. They TYPICALLY earn less money (there are exceptions). They don't live as long. They have less satisfying marriages; less satisfying work and other relationships; less life fulfillment. And, St Paul would say, less holiness.

8. They have more conflicted relationships BECAUSE they have a very annoying obsessive habit of trying to batter everyone else into their construction on reality. We saw this in my exchanges with you where my GREAT agreement with you--and my persistent efforts to rephrase things so that we could share even more agreement WERE NEVER ENOUGH.

9. That's a hallmark trait of perfectionists. I should know beyond just my training about such. I'm a recovering one myself.

10. That NEVER PERFECT ENOUGH to be satisfied aspect tends to be very fraying on our closer relationshps.

11. And, when WE keep that intruding in our relationship with God, it distances us from Him. It doesn't bring us closer. Christ's Blood covers us as we are--while HE CLEANS US UP--or it doesn't--we are incapable.

12. LEARNING TO REST IN HIM and cooperate with Him in His perfecting of me is still a growing edge. However, I know a lot about what it's NOT.

Shame on you for passing judgment on a man who believes he is indeed doing what the Lord is calling him to do.

So, you are saying that Jesus Christ has called Quix to announce the arrival of aliens on planet Earth?

In your limited experience, you may not understand and it may even seem strange to you, but there are many things in the world you and I do not understand.

Limited experience of what? The cosmos? Aliens? God?

I readily admit there are things in this world that I do not understand but recognize as God created. This image is one small example. Neither you, nor Quix, nor I, nor anyone else can explain why God created the universe in this manner. We do understand however, that God descended to planet Earth and lived among us. We do know that God has called us to proclaim the Good News to our brothers and sisters here on planet Earth. Anything short of that becomes a distraction that deters God's purpose.

In all due respect NYer, you know that isn't true. There are millions of different types of missions that God calls His children to.

People who care for others who are elderly, ill or infirmed; firemen who save lives; men and women who teach others the Word so that they may spread the Gospel; doctors and nurses who are called to serve; fathers and mothers who raise Godly children; theological scholars who study God's word so we might all increase in our understand; people who run orphanages; military men and women who defend our democracy/republic...the list goes on and on!

I think we have a duty to seek God's will for us but I think you and I would do well to let others serve Him in the way they believe they are called.
