I deliberately removed you from my ad-hoc list. It may be I’d listed you twice.

I’ll check.

What If The Pope and a future glowing Mary from Fatima say Our Lord Jesus Christ was actually ET. Quix has presented much evidence hinting at such a possibility.

It’s kind of funny . . .

I tacked you onto the end of that ad-hoc group the first time, to insure you weren’t left out of such an august group.

[then after your wailing, I removed you.]

So much for my thoughtfully respecting you.

note — this is a thread on UFOs. It’s not a religious thread, hence there is no calvinist or presbyterian or methodist or jewish or hindu-vaishnavi or jain or zoroastrian “opinion” on this, this thread will have only individuals’ opinions

Wellllllllll, The Vatican is now increasingly frequently and at ever intensifying degrees

asserting a position on such things . . . it just seems to me that RC’s ought to be included in those asserting their perspectives.

Personally, I’d rather they didn’t comment, because I think their perspective is quite off the wall wrong. However, I respect them as people claiming to be Christian and I want to do all I can to encourage them to have their say as individuals and as a group of FREEPER RC’s. Their perspective deserves to be represented in the mix.

Besides, I think they ought to be on record at this time. Things are changing fast and such an old INSTITUTION ought to get in early on asserting pronouncements AT THE PEW LEVEL on such a crucially important topic. imho.

I don’t believe there’s many other topics that are

MORE DIRECTLY NOR MORE IMPORTANTLY RELATED TO RELIGIOUS/SPIRITUAL COSMOLOGY

than this set of issues and phenomena.

I do appreciate you stopping by to comment.

OK.

However, you have a unique perspective in many respects. And I usually ping you idiosyncratically off the top of my head because I’m interested in your personal perspective on a given thing.

Dear Quix,

I was pinged to post #182 on Tuesday. I ignored that one, hoping it was a one-off. Then you posted to me from the list again in #409, at which point I asked you to remove me from your [Ad Hoc] Deluded and Damned Ping List.

If you say that you've removed me, that's fine.

If I receive further pings, I'll let you (and the mods) know.

Thanks again,

Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!

At our present space/time coordinates, the universe is observed to be about 15 billion years old. However, when we consider the inflationary model and general relativity (warping of space/time) - we can also see that the universe is about a week old (equiv earth time) at the inception space/time coordinates (Schroeder et al.)

I perceive a change in the "observer" perspective in Scripture.

More specifically, Genesis chapters 1 to 3 are from the inception perspective. The Creator is the only observer of Creation ex nihilo and He speaks to both the physical and the spiritual as the Creation, the earthly and the heavenly. To presuppose an earthly space/time perspective would result in needless contradiction (emphasis mine:)

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. – Genesis 1:1

These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and [there was] not a man to till the ground. – Genesis 2:4-5

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. – Genesis 2:9

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. – Revelation 2:7

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. - Hebrews 11:3

Indeed, I perceive the creation of Adam and the Garden of Eden in the spiritual realm and thus see no contradiction at all in Genesis 2 or 3. It should be noted however that Eden, like the Ark of the Covenant and the Temple and Holy Mountain, may have an earthly type as well.

And then at the top of Genesis 4, after Adam is banished to mortality, the perspective changes to Adamic man who, by Jewish and early Christian beliefs, was appointed a week or seven thousand years the last of which is Christ's thousand year reign on earth, the Lord's Sabbath (Revelation.)

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ. - Colossians 2:16-17

But however one perceives such things, we Christians should be aware of the "observer problem."

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. – Psalms 90:4

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. - 2 Pet 3:8

God's Name is I AM.

It’s a bit fascinating . . .

psychologically and sociologically . . .

Y’all will brazenly and fiercely—often with great personal assaultiveness descend on almost any thread I’m starting and posting on . . .

with often wild haired off the wall and thoroughly inaccurate as well as harshly assaulting posts.

And I’ll spar with y’all but I virtually never, if ever, begin to lobby for or remotely !!!!DEMAND!!!! that you folks never post to me or ping me. I don’t do that with even the most deliberately viruelently mean-spirited of your groups and individuals.

Yet, several of you seem to be so haughty, so thin-skinned, so arrogantly !!!!DEMANDING!!!! as to get on some sort of prickly high horse in offense when I go out of my way to respectfully include you on a watershed historic topic and moment.

THAT’S REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

IMPRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY, THERE.

I’m sure Mary is most impressed to see her graciousness flowing so freely.

I have studied Genesis 6 for awhile now and have taught from it on several occasions. I do not see any reference to ET’s in it. I do see reference to “sons of God” (which is translated as “angels of God” by the ancient Jews in their Septuagint translation of the Old Testament) which from the study I have done keeps pointing to them being fallen angels.

So we are back to the identity issue of the ET’s...Genesis 6 points to an increase in fallen angel/demon activity on earth and mans willingness to follow their lead, that leads to the judgment of the flood...

Matthew 24:37-39 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Well put and I think I pretty much agree . . . as well as I’m wrapping my mind around all that. LOL.

Perhaps you’d be willing to elaborate on this part that I don’t qutie feel I clearly understand:

we can also see that the universe is about a week old (equiv earth time) at the inception space/time coordinates

I suspect you know that the Religion Moderator has noted that the mods are not in the business of insuring that FREEPERS NOT POST to one another.

I suggest you find a taxidermy for a thicker skin or perhaps somewhere else for a more robust or gracious reality testing.

Sheesh.

I’m increasingly doubtful that I’ll be that interested in your finger flow.

However, if I for some curious and bizaare reason feel a silly compulsion to be entertained by your spew, I’ll probably include you again in the addy line.

Deal with it.

While dealing with maturely may be too much of a stretch, I’m sure you can at least try.
