Lol...some time during the Titanic heyday I posted a very similar (but enormously less clever or funny) spoof on-line. Granted I was 13 at the time and not anywhere near as funny as I thought I was. (Hope I don’t make anyone feel old by saying that). And I don’t even remember the web address...it’s long lost in the dark forgotten realms of cyberspace.

(Very sad about Mrs. Stuart’s passing...I wasn’t familiar with her work at all outside of Titanic, but she seems to have led a full life).

I’ve posted this many times in the past. It’s frequently greeted by Titanic fans with stony indifference - as though I was defecating into the Holy Grail.

Many people view Titanic as a documentary with fictional subplots - and not just a documentary, but a comprehensive documentary. In fact, these people view most “fact-based” movies the same way.
