With all the stress we are experiencing due the direction our country is headed, I thought I would try something a little different and fun for openers. Name your favorite television comedy/variety shows from the 60s-90s. What actor/actress made that show great?
Modesty. Does it exist today?
I wanted to go to the local tavern for fish but we went to a chain Joe's Crab Shack. next we'll go for fish.
Jemian, I agree with all of your choices, but the Dean Martin Roasts were and still are hilarious!
In the 70s, I wouldn’t make any dates on Saturday nights. I wanted to stay home to watch The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show and The Carol Burnett Show.
You watched Fox this morning.
yes! And Mr HOB keeps telling me walk like him so I don't fall down! I'd fall down laughing just trying to walk like him!
Have fun, Tim. I’ve always wanted to go to a Renaisance Festival. Never had the opportunity. That is great news about Tim’s feelings about the adoption. I’m very very happy for you all.
Thanks for the reinforcement. It wasn’t a comedy but did anybody watch “Here Comes the Brides”. I loved that show with Jason, Joshua, and Jeremy Bolt. That is where I feel in love with the name Joshua, although he was my least favorite of the brothers, and decided that my son would be named Joshua. Later, when I became a Christian, I cemented that notion in my head.
My son was not happy when he learned that although he truly is named after the Biblical Joshua, I first loved that name from a tv show. LOL!
Good morning. What fun for Tim!
I liked the Mary Tyler Moore show, but Newhart was absolutely hysterical. I especially loved it later when his second show had their final episode. It perfectly tied both together. I’m still laughing.
They were great shows.
WAR EAGLE !!!
Thanks to all for the gout advice, the support, and the links!
Could not have gotten through the summer without you!
Next week we’re taking him to Delaware to go fishing with my best friend’s husband, Mr HOB and my DAD! I am shocked my Dad is going and staying over at Carol’s so he doesn’t have to drive in the dark.
I didn’t know much about it except it’s very painful. Hope things are better now.
This picture looks a little like my friend, Carol. LOL!
You are my favorite UT alum.
Lassie, and Sky King, Rin Tin Tin, and Happy Trails theatre. I still watch The Rifleman. Would these be dramas, ‘cause I don’t think they were comedies?
In high school, I was told I looked like Ruth Buzzi.
LOL
Never go by what people tell you. When I was in my twenties, I was told I looked like Barbie Benton. Wow, did they need a new pair of glasses. ;-)
