With all the stress we are experiencing due the direction our country is headed, I thought I would try something a little different and fun for openers. Name your favorite television comedy/variety shows from the 60s-90s. What actor/actress made that show great?
Daughter Carolyn is away for the weekend at a resort in DR. They had off on Friday so the school could be cleansed of evil spirits.
Wow. Could they send some people down to the people’s house in D.C.?

Didn't see the debate between Walker and Barret on Friday night, but am guessing Walker did just fine.
It's interesting here in Stevens Point, a very liberal town, that there are more Walker and Johnson posters than I ever remember seeing for conservative candidates. A good sign, I think.
Walworth county is conservative, but getting less so since so much of Cook county is moving here. I didn’t see the debate either. I am getting very disturbed about the outside money coming here to try to rescue Barrett and Feingold. The Unions and the DSCC have their minions coming up with a whole host of negative ads that they are going to hit the airwaves with. They have sent 3 million dollars in the last few weeks. This morning I read an article that the big guns in Hollywood are getting together funds and fundraisers for Feingold. They have screwed up their own state just fine, now they are trying for everyone elses. Keep their money at home!!!!!!

Most people are fed up with their arrogance and out of control spending.
It’s frightening when a family making over $250,000 is just getting by because of all the combined taxes that they are forced to pay.
Everytime our elected hold hearing such as the Colbert’s appearance, it cost US $124,797.00. But what do they care, they get all prettied up, play with their lap tops, and we get to see them on tv.

Yesterday was a busy one in this household. Fixed a large breakfast, we had company. I did some paperwork for a friend. Roomey had me making signs for our Republican Fish Fry. We have an annual Fish Fry to raise money for our candidates, etc. Then I had to get the onions sliced, cut the lemons and gather together tongs and large spoons. Then help load the car with the necessary plates etc, plus condiments, bread and water. Fix lunch, cause we had company, then help Roomey fill the truck with stuff. At 1500 we headed out to the park to begin setting up the serving table, put up candidates signs, balloons and signs to the park. Of all the stuff we brought, the condiments, I was happy we didn’t have to do what the cooks brought. Bless them, they did a super job with the fish, beans, slaw and french fries. We served ice unsweetened and sweetened tea, my job.
Our local candidates presented their ideas, our congreman gave a very good summation of the goings on in dc, it was a bit scary listening to bullying of the democrats. He repeated at least 3 times the importance of encouraging us to help get out the vote for conservatives.
After picking everything up, catching up with people we haven’t seen for a month or so, we got home at 2200. Had a martini, brushed our teeth, said good night to our company and slept till 0700, didn’t move a muscle, except our diaphrams. Had waffles and ham for breakfast this a.m.
Wow! That was a busy day. Was there a large group of people?
Yes we did. At $8.00 a plate we made about $1600 something, now there were some checks with good sized donations too. We had a nice crowd. When we began our “annual” Fish Fry, I think we had about 40 people, that was about 12 years ago. Each year we gain a few more people. One year a home made aircraft flew over our fish fry, I guess some democrat, because at that time, we Repubs were very few. Well after swooping down a few times, taking pictures, he crashed into a nearby pasture. He was bruised up a bit and one of fellows found the camera and took our the film or memory card. Some Repubs helped put the wrecked plane on the back of a truck. No one’s flown over us since. lol
I’m happy he wasn’t seriously hurt, but that’s what he gets for being nosy.

Praise the Lord! We have had rain all day today. This is the first good rain we’ve had since mid-July. Rain, rain, rain. Wonderful rain!
Yippee!! I’m happy.
That is a funny story.
That good news is offset by the severe illness, perhaps even death of my laptop. It is the third laptop in three years. There is one common factor and I can’t or won’t change that. The only thing I know to do is to forbid me from laptop usage.
I’m hoping to persuade my nephew to make a housecall tomorrow.
