Weird News Update: UFOs Visited Nuclear Weapons Sites, Former Air Force Officers Say

Sept. 21) -- UFOs have monitored and possibly tampered with American nuclear weapons, according to a group of former Air Force officers who will make their claims public next week at a Washington, D.C., news conference.

"While most of the incidents apparently involved mere surveillance, in a few cases, a significant number of nuclear missiles suddenly and simultaneously malfunctioned, just as USAF security policemen reported seeing disc-shaped craft hovering nearby," says Robert Hastings, author of "UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites."

On Monday, at the National Press Club, Hastings will present six former Air Force personnel who will break their silence and disclose dramatic first-hand experiences with UFOs at nuclear weapons sites.

In a statement, Hastings said, "At long last, all of these witnesses are coming forward to say that, as unbelievable as it may seem to some, UFOs have long monitored and sometimes tampered with our nukes."

Hastings' co-host for the news conference, ICBM launch officer Capt. Robert Salas, was witness to a UFO incident in 1967 that, he says, caused a missile disruption at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and he was ordered to keep quiet about it.

"The Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases, and we can prove it," Salas said.

Another officer scheduled to appear at Monday's conference, Col. Charles Halt, witnessed a disc-shaped object shooting beams of light onto the joint Anglo/American RAF Bentwaters airbase in England in 1980. The lights were reportedly near the base's nuclear weapons storage area.

"I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted -- both then and now -- to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation."

Supposedly a retied NORAD Officer states the Aliens will make themselves known on October 13th, 2010,

I had heard October 11 - Thanks for setting that straight.

I have a question for UFO believers, if they are real why has SETI not had any contact yet?

Maybe SETI tied the can to the wrong string...

"Make themselves known" how exactly?

If the "how" is susceptible to verification (one way or the other) then I'm willing to put money up that says it won't happen on either the 13th or the 11th of October, 2010.

Believing in God and Anfels is just as kooky as believing in aliens. Duh?!

>>You’re joking, right? No. Its the same darned belief. Its merely faith in both cases. I'm not knocking those believe in UFOs or angels or God, but there is no proof, right? Is this too practical to comprehend?

How many years have we had electromagnetic communication? For how many more years do you suppose we will use such a primitive form of communication? ... SETI has been looking for electromagnetic wave ‘leftovers’ for how many years? Has it occurred to you that the window of using electromagnetic waves for basic communication may be small and even a civilization just 1000 years ahead of us could well have moved on to less wasteful more directed communication methods. The real question is, why have we not come across at least one ‘natural’ electromagnetic wave source we would deem information rich? The purpose of communication is transfer of information, whether for entertainment or other purposes. Are we too limited in our estimation of what is useful information? ... I mean, we have a very narrow set of expectations based upon our species’ experiences. Does the evolution of life always follow such a pathway as that which resulted so far in us? If you heard whale song coming through electromagnetic waves, would you recognize that as information being conveyed?

“No. Its the same darned belief. Its merely faith in both cases.”

You’re missing a subtle distinction. Belief in God is belief in the supernatural, which means you can’t expect to be able to prove or disprove it through natural science. Aliens, however, are generally believed to be a natural phenomenon, so there is a possibility to prove or disprove that with natural science.

They're monitoring the wrong type of frequencies. ET doesn't use radio.

Christians have the testimony of those who faced (and often met) death to tell the story of a very real savior — Jesus. Their knowledge of God, based as it is upon God's historical covenant with his chosen people, goes back thousands of years. The notion of alien visitation only appeared late in the industrial revolution and only became a fad within the last sixty years. How you can confuse these two very different things is a mystery to me.
