You are so right. Unfortunately, it is a little bit too much to bear. November cannot come soon enough...

He’s talking to a group of people in a back yard and he has a microphone! Maybe someone will take the mike away...

Well, basically wherever you’d like your stronger color to be and think that it would work well. Perhaps behind some artwork or on a wall with some interesting angles. Or perhaps a window or door would determine that a stronger color would be nice there.
The good thing about paint is that if you end up picking something you don’t like, it’s easy to change. The Home Depot or stores like that might have books on painting ideas and techniques as well as the paint stores.
Then comes the fun part of looking at paint chips....what I learned when we did the house (I didn’t have much experience with paint as the house we were in for 20 years had almost all wallpaper and basement paneling)....was that colors tend to look lighter on the entire wall than they do on the paint chip or even on a wall test sample sometimes. Going bolder or darker than you might initially be inclined to, actually might produce results that you are looking for.
I have a focus wall in my office that could have been even darker. It’s OK but I’d liked it to have been more striking. Mr. Prairie put the darker color on his office focus wall and it looks good.
I would caution about that advice with pink though, unless you are looking for a candy store effect. I was wise enough to pick out a very pale pink as an overall color for a bedroom and I’ve been quite satisfied with it, but any darker or brighter and I’d have been repainting.
And folks here have good advice for incorporating strong colors with furniture, rugs and accents.

Thank you. I have very little experience with this. I’ve just been living in temporary houses and don’t often get to pick. In fact, I think I’ve only actually decorated just one room ever.

I still say, despite being on the brink and all that, it is a great time to be alive. We are witnessing the greatest groundswell political movement possibly ever, and the cool thing is that there is no one person or thing that the Alinskyites can 'personalize, isolate, ridicule and polarize.' They tried it with Boehner, didn't work. It's not working on O'Donnell either.
And the best part is: the poll numbers keep getting better and better: If the GOP were merely equal to Dem numbers, the GOP would still win both houses. Yet the polls have the generic GOP candidate way ahead. I think this is going to be a 'broken glass' election for conservatives, and I hope the transformation of the GOP from a privileged club to a conservative party that actually represents its constituents happens forthwith. ;-))

Hey, here’s a question: The other day I was talking with some friends and they brought up Palin and the first thing that came up was that she quit being Gov. of AK. Did Nobama finish his only Senate term? Hmmmmm? Nobody ever brings that up...;-))

I would say that the incompetence of this administration is worse than any other administration, but that wouldn’t be true. What they do they do well. Fortunately, many of us are wise to that, don’t want it and will remember this November and two years down the road.

Yes, I saw them. I think it’s counter-productive to allow comments because trolls swarm in and distort with their agitprop...;-))
