I’m so sorry for Sarah. I pray that she has insight as to what is the best course of treatment and recovery. I have no advice there. I sympathize greatly with her.
My bro got discharged last evening. Goes back to the Dr today...not sure when he’ll go back to work.
All is fine now he just has to not lift for a while.
Thank you. I will tell her.
That is good news.
Hog tie him. ;-)
Those photos are beautiful. The area looks peaceful.
Great posts yesterday. I especially like the one about Rove. That definitely left a mark!!
Manhattan Project Prayer Project
Good morning dear hearts and gentle people.
:^)
lysie, I’m sure Sarah will take it easy until the lower back pain diminishes. She’s a really smart girl and her doctor might give her some lifting restrictions that will be of help at work when he releases her.
neets, glad to hear your brother is doing so well. What a shock his hospitalization and surgery must have been to everyone - but especially to him.
Prayers for all.
Jemian each week I usually read a Tuesday morning article by Sharon Randall. She is informative, interesting, funny and sometimes intuitive. This morning she was talking about 9/11 commemorations and said that the lives lost on 9/11 deserve more than commemoration, they deserve to be celebrated.
“Celebrate may mean different things for each of us, but almost always, those things are good.
What does it mean for you?
For me, it is this: I will celebrate their lives and the sacrifice they made by being alive to life in all its glory.
I will not live in fear.
I will not harbor hatred.
God willing, I will be free.
I will do this every day, for as long as I breath.”
This really struck me, so I thought I’d share.
That should’ve read the Manhattan Declaration Prayer Project.
(Too many things going on around here this morning)
I made the mistake of reading David Broder this morning. He has an article entitled “The Maverick’s subtle ways” (guess who this glorifies?) and I hope that it was published in Arizona so that the people that voted for McCain can learn a few things about him.
Did you know, or ever hear, that he is going to mentor the next generation of “stars” - Kelly Ayotte, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, and two Democratic senators Tom and Mark Udall. He is going to mentor the Udall’s because their father and uncle took the young McCain under his wing.
McCain also said that because of the 1980 erosion of Jimmy Carter’s personal leadership and the rebellion of liberal Demoncrats against the White House, newcomers were let in. “Now the voters still like Barack Obama” McCain said, “but they have come to disagree with his policies” - so the door is again open to newcomers.
When asked about the polls that forecast Republican gains in November but also show less public confidence in the GOP than in the Demoncrats, McCain said, “In part, it’s the Bush hangover and we haven’t given the voters mucy of an idea of what we’d do. We need four or five clear proposals.”
But, the last paragraph is what got me. Because of that Republican infirmity, McCain said, a post-election Obama could hope for a positive response if he emulates the post-1994 Bill Clinton and reaches out to Republicans for support in the next Congress.
Is McCain all there, or is he that blind to the will of the People!
And then recheck tomorrow to be sure...
We've been working in the vegetable garden. It's all cleared, except 2 pepper plants, and tilled for next year. I'm pleased to have it done, but sad that the season is over. I'll be making a batch of tomato sauce with the 15+ pounds of tomatoes we picked.
It's amazing how fast yardwork goes with 2 people. ;-)
Thanks for all you do.....but don’t go to any extra effort.
All work goes better with two participating.
;o)
I’m really feeling Hubby’s lack of participation around the house. For one thing, I’m in the kitchen way too much.
;o)-
Not good.
Don’t let him overdo Nita.
Dear, we need to realize mcpain is a flip-flopper. He’s the kind of republican who wants to be luvvved by the democrats. He wants to reeeach across thde aisle and show how broad minded he is. He likes to play both sides against the middle. Remember he was for illegal immigration before he was against it? He goes along to get along. I’d have to look up and check if he told me the sun was shining.
Looks like I need to practice home health care remedies that my great grandparents used and were effective.
:-)
