What was your story that brought you here to this site.
Monica Lewinsky. I lurked a long time because the bandwidth police was heavy at that time I didn’t post threads a lot. By the time I was able to log on in the evening there was always a thread about whatever had happened in the world.
Have to agree, and I'm glad to see that you mentioned Alamo Girl, for she did a superb job compiling her dossier on the Clintons and the strange happenings associated with them.
A link called “whitewater” on the drudge report.
Too late. I’m in bed I’m on my Blackberry.
But I will dream about her and tell you about it tomorrow.
Had been lurking here for a couple of years, mainly from references thru other 'conservative' websites and BBS's over the years, but never actually registered on FR until the Memogate thing went viral.
Maybe I had something to say about it in my first post here (?), but I don't remember what it was (/laughs) .. it's probably still in the record, but I ain't about to go wade thru all my postings here to find it ... /grin
Otherwise, so glad I found Free Republic .. it isn't glitzy nor commercial nor ambitious, but just a good honest give-n-take discussion by regular American's for regular American's ... and I hope that never changes :)
Cheers,

I think I found out about FreeRepublic back when I was on Delphi, GEnie, Compuserve, or AOL. Yep, tried them all.
Note: This is my second account. My first account, long since lost, is a few years older than this one.
I think it was Delphi/GEnie. Long, long time ago.
I love FR and the family here. Its good to know the folks we are going to go into battle with this year/ wink wink
Thanks Jim for giving us this site! God Bless everyone here!
The whole gang at Freedominion. I got banned from there and decided to heck with it and came here. Lurked for years and then decided to register and start posting.
TMI
I could see the crowds and traffic outside my window down towards Olive when jesse jackson was flown in to rile up the "downtrodden".
This is my 3rd post ever on Free Republic (not on the archives, but for some reason, saved on Alamo Girl's site):
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Home Page 11/9/00 Freeper FlJoePa ".... Being a resident of Palm Beach County, I thought I'd look up a little information and post it here for your perusal. This information is from the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections' home page.
As of October 25th:
Registered Democrats: 296,122 Total Votes for Algore after re-count: 269,696
Registered Republicans: 231,626 Total Votes for George W. after re-count: 152,954
Now, according to this information, and making the simplistic assumption that no Democrats voted for George W, this gives the Democrats a turnout of 91%. Also, making the same assumption that no Republicans voted for Algore, this gives the Republicans a turnout of only 66%.
Add into the mix the fact that the Dummycrats are now wanting the 19,000 "tossed" ballots counted as well, that would raise the Democratic turnout to 97%. Yeah, there is something funny going on all right, but it's not these "butterfly ballots", rather it is massive voter fraud. The ballot issue is nothing but a smokescreen. ......"
So funny, GoCards is my second sign in because I couldnt find my password for my first (new email too) I was newconhere!! lol
Years ago now, I was posting on a major network message board. I can’t remember who but a Freeper suggested I look at this forum. So I just came and read the posts and comments for quite sometime then I joined in.
MsLady turned me onto FR @11/97....
Bless her heart...
Same here. I think it was Quidam's posts that most intrigued me, those and the general sense of humor of the place.
That woman, Miss Lewinsky . . . via Drudge. Those were heady days and the weekend the story broke - FR server overloaded and no one could log on.
classygreeneyedblonde was my main squeeze at the time, and she brought me here.
My addiction was caused by a co-worker.
Been a junkie ever since...
I bought a used IBM PS2 over 13 years ago. It had so little power that I could access only text. If my memory serves me right, I saw a link on the Drudge Report to something he called “White Water File” which was FR. That would have been 1997. JimRob had to send me an email explaining what a cookie was.
