So many actors I know their face, have no idea what their names are. Once I saw his face I knew exactly who he was.

His bit putting on his coat with Ron Levy (?) tangled up in Silent Movie was absolutely perfect.

Another nod to his role in “The Sting”. That part in the Western Union office makes me LOL every time. They hook Robert Shaw and then just walk away.

Many of his fans don’t realize that Mr. Gould was actually Dr. Gould, who earned a PhD in theater from Cornell. He was a drama professor for almost a decade before becoming a full-time actor. Predictably, he had to support his family by working as a security guard (and a part-time instructor at UCLA) before finally getting that breakthrough role in “The Sting.” As someone else observed, he was an overnight sensation—at the age of 46.

Lost the solid character actor Kevin McCarthy yesterday. Losing everyone who knows how to act and who rarely lectures the population on their moral superiority.

Wow... I didn’t know that this real-life Miles has a Ph.D. from Cornell and taught in UCLA. So, when they made him a professor in Golden Girls, they simply imitated real life.

Great actor. Really shone in “The Sting”, “Silent Movie”, and tons of TV guest star appearances going back to the 60s. I even liked a late 70s con man/con daughter show he did with the smoking Stefanie Powers, “Feather and Father”.
