I will burn any damn book I want thank you
A Job for George W. Bush America needs a president with the moral authority to denounce Koran-burning. By James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal, 09-07-10 |
Sure, but we have one extra that no one is reading, so we can burn that one.
LOL
I actually agree that no book should be burned, yet I defend their right to make this stand without being threatened or God forbid, killed.
We shouldn’t burn the Koran because we’ll need them for warmth after a few more months of Obamanomics.
This is a Freedom of Navigation exercise.
Besides, it’s high time that sleeping Westerners wake up and realize that Islam is the enemy of the West - always has been, always will be.
Nice try...Yes, it does send a message and an appropriate one when you consider the source. Now, you have to decide whether this is a good idea or not - and most would take the cowards way out.
The group that decides to actually do this is not only courageous but does seem to hold up the American ideals - regardless of faiths. Yes, this is provocative, but isn’t it time?
This is the true test of whether there are any “moderate” muslims. You know, the one’s that are offended, but don’t support MURDER.
This isn’t about burning a book. It’s about “picking a fight”. Since 9/11 we’ve been pussy-footing around about exactly who our enemy is. And this has allowed moderate Muslims — if there are any — to sit out the fight and openly sympathize with their more radical brethren. This has got to stop.
There are probably several copies out there so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Burn it IMO.
Pictures of their pedophile leader (piss be upon him) should also be burned IMO.
They are not beyond responses to their cult’s actions IMO.
I am not burning any books, but I would never waste my time
reading this book. I can watch the people who profess to have read it and understand it and believe it and that is enough for me.
The message here should be that in the United States of America, you have the right to burn any damned book you please.
actually, it send the right message. let someone try to burn the koran in the 57 Islamic states.
‘Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God’ (1Cor.10:320
I own and have read all the books you mention including the koran.
I disagree with you: the nutjobs in FL can and should burn away, if they feel that they really need to do so to get their message across.
What nobody has right to do is take and burn my copies. If I want to do so I can and should be able to burn them. That’s all.
Burning them is such a waste. I’d rather use the damn things for target practice.
You are absolutely right, of course. In America, book burning is ALWAYS wrong. Insulting another’s religion is ALWAYS wrong. But, FR is full of nominal Americans who reserve the right to burn others’ books and condemn others’ religions. It is the nature of blogs that everyone thinks their opinion is equal. BS. You stand up for the right principles even when it goes against your ego needs.
So, you think an American electorate who sent BHO the the whitehouse needs to read the koran?
Until then, he'll keep on using people for his own purposes. And, then, he'll use them some more by posing as a brave victim. Keep your hands on your wallets, folks.
