A Job for George W. Bush America needs a president with the moral authority to denounce Koran-burning.

Sure, but we have one extra that no one is reading, so we can burn that one.
LOL
I actually agree that no book should be burned, yet I defend their right to make this stand without being threatened or God forbid, killed.

We shouldn’t burn the Koran because we’ll need them for warmth after a few more months of Obamanomics.

This is a Freedom of Navigation exercise.
Besides, it’s high time that sleeping Westerners wake up and realize that Islam is the enemy of the West - always has been, always will be.

Nice try...Yes, it does send a message and an appropriate one when you consider the source. Now, you have to decide whether this is a good idea or not - and most would take the cowards way out.
The group that decides to actually do this is not only courageous but does seem to hold up the American ideals - regardless of faiths. Yes, this is provocative, but isn’t it time?

This is the true test of whether there are any “moderate” muslims. You know, the one’s that are offended, but don’t support MURDER.
To: oldleft
This isn’t about burning a book. It’s about “picking a fight”. Since 9/11 we’ve been pussy-footing around about exactly who our enemy is. And this has allowed moderate Muslims — if there are any — to sit out the fight and openly sympathize with their more radical brethren. This has got to stop.

There are probably several copies out there so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Burn it IMO.
Pictures of their pedophile leader (piss be upon him) should also be burned IMO.
They are not beyond responses to their cult’s actions IMO.

I am not burning any books, but I would never waste my time
reading this book. I can watch the people who profess to have read it and understand it and believe it and that is enough for me.

The message here should be that in the United States of America, you have the right to burn any damned book you please.

What gets me is Patraeus' statement that burning the Koran would put our troops in greater danger. Uh, General...aren't we at war? Aren't the troops:
1) already in great danger (I've always heard wars are dangerous), and
2) prepared to defend themselves from their enemies, who already don't like them very much as it is?
Should we be more worried about defeating our f**king enemies instead of playing politically correct pattycake with them?!?!?!

Again, I don't worry about a few korans being torched, I worry about people not taking the time to read it. It's a manual for the destruction of our civilization and we should be knowledgeable of it.

Yep. This is exactly the same kind of dithering that caused 20 years of non-responses to Islamic provocations that culminated with 9/11.
Its not a path I would've chosen, but burn the damn thing if you want. Its a wonderful country.
