They ARE having fun, aren’t they? LOL!
LOL! Shoes or dogs - either will be easier than getting down on your knees and scrubbing. *grin*
So was YOURS, TiaPammie!! LOL!
And WE miss your not being here, too, Billie!
Thank you, Billie. I wanted one to go with the ‘theme’ of the day, and Mr. G (images) came through. LOL!
Thanks Billie! I loved finding it!
He was a very popular rock and roll star and stayed so for many years. That hair and kicking over his piano stool were just some of his trademarks. We liked Jerry Lee but weren’t huge fans, but hubby and I and another couple went to see him in concert, either in the late 60’s or early 70’s.
When we saw him live he broke the piano stool and got on the piano and banged the keys with his feet. Just show business! Its strange, my brother said he saw him on someone’s show just recently (may have been the View) and my brother said he didn’t seem to be in a clear mind (getting old and senile) but he said when he played that piano, he played it just like he used to.
When you all kept talking about all that shakin’, naturally I thought of “Whole Lota Shakin’ Going on”. Another tidbit, Jerry Lee is a first cousin to Jimmy Swaggert (the preacher)....LOL! Swaggert plays a mean piano too. Swaggart also played around some too....LOL)
I thought I was sexy when I was wearing those short, short polyester dresses!!! LOLOLOL! Does anyone but me remember that or am I just too old? teehee!
I remember it, JC! I also remember wearing a too tight skirt, and went to get off the school bus, and landed straight on my face on the ground, as the skirt didn’t ‘give’ any room for the legs taking a big step down!
Oh, yes, jaycee, I remember those short polyester dresses. We really did look good in them! :-)
Me, too!!!!
P.S., I don't look that good in the morning either! I got dressed up for my dance! LOL!
I tried to find a video of the “Great Balls of Fire” piano scene from Top Gun - one of my favorite parts of the movie, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online, and then I ran out of time and had to get some things done around the house. That piano scene was filmed in a ribs joint in San Diego, a little hole-in-the-wall place that, unless someone told you about it, you’d never find it. We took our foreign exchange “daughter” from Finland there so she could say she saw “the piano”. “Top Gun” was all the rage then and I knew she would love to go back to Finland and tell all her friends that she had lunch in the bar where that scene was filmed.
Is Jerry Lee Lewis still alive? I haven’t seen or heard of him in so long, I thought he’d left us.
:)
Thank you tiapam............
and thank you also for such an adorable kitty photo!!
I am feeling some better. The shot is doing it’s thing!!
:)
We looked great! Short was in style and I loved it then!! I sure am glad ya’ll remember those! And yorkie, I remember them being tight too! They were dangerous....LOL! It didn’t matter as long as we looked good...mahvelous!!
Lori, see my post # 2567! He’s alive and OLD, poor thing!
Jaycee, I thought your song was perfect for our posts on “shaking”!! I’d only seen him on T.V. long ago. Didn’t know he did all that!! That’s something about him on the View! How old is he now?
My, you are certainly full of information, or perhaps gossip!! LOL! Sometimes we think we’ve heard it all and then poof, stuff like what you shared pops up! I should say, so what else is new???
