What Was the TV Show of Summer & What Wasn't?
Which shows went out with a bang? Which show went out with a whimper? And which show could use a do-over?
The answers—and more questions—in the last TV ratings quiz of the summer season:
One, they're both singers. Two, they're both talent-show champs. And, three, Grimm's win, on the fifth-season finale of America's Got Talent, summer's No.1 series, powered the show to its biggest-ever audience (16.4 million viewers) just as Hicks' win, on the fifth-season finale of American Idol, delivered that franchise to its biggest-ever two-hour finale.
(Note, we said two-hour finale. Idol's record-holding season-two Ruben-and-Clay finale was a one-hour finale, at least it was in Nielsen's count.)

I can’t tell you how many times I have seen “Dirty Dancing”. Finally, my DIL bought the movie for me....LOL! TRUE!!! I hated so bad when Patrick Swayze died. I loved him.
Jennifer Grey (Baby) did a beautiful job! I’m really glad Bristol made it through also. Like you, I’ve never voted on any of these shows but I cross all toes and fingers for my choices!!
I never paid more than $10.00 or $12.00 for those hats. The most expensive one I purchased was the last one about a year ago. Got it at Belks and it was on sale for $30.00. I loved it so much that I broke down and purchased it. Original price $59.00!

I loved Patrick Swayze in “Ghost”, and in the TV movie, “North and South”. He ‘seemed’ such a gentle soul and a gentleman - but who knows if he really was.

Consider the wealthy man, well up in years, who thinks he can take at least some of his hard-earned fortune with him when he dies. He gives $100,000 each to his doctor, priest and lawyer, and tells each of them to put the money in his casket at his funeral.
They all agree. Not long after, the man dies, and the doctor, priest and lawyer all visit the casket at the funeral home.
After the funeral, the three men are talking and the doctor confesses that he’s kept $25,000 of the man’s money for himself. The priest admits he did, too.
Then the lawyer exclaims, “You cheaters. I thought you put all of it in there, so I took out the cash and left him a check for $300,000.”

Storms here & Toby is velcro. Work on the roofing project may be off today . for those with any interest, here is the project my 71 year old friend is doing for me and I am his helper. We are replacing not only the roof but also all the wood underneath - the sub roofing , which is rotted & deteriorated. Total roof to be doneis 2400 sq ft. We are only half way there but the worse areas are done. This is the original roof which is 43 years old
Yesterday was the 9th year anniversary of finding my Oliver in a drain pipe while Kayaking. I only had him 4 years but they were 4 precious years. He has been gone 5 years this December. Toby & Josy are good fur kids but I still miss my boy.
