Thank you, jaycee. That little girl had an unbelievable voice - and especially for someone so young. Close your eyes while she sang and you'd swear it was an adult! I was pulling for Michael Grimm from the beginning however - something about his voice and his 'story' of course.
The little girl has already performed in concert with David Foster, who will probably continue to watch out for her as he's done with many as talented as she is.
I actually feel a little sorry for child prodigies like this - they don't get to be a child, because they're always practicing, practicing, practicing. :( She seemed way older than her 10 years.
I have more music to post today, and this one by Michael is the one I keep going back to because it shows off his voice in ways that we didn't really get to see on AGT. It just gives me goosebumps. :)
Enjoy!

What a lovely graphic, Meg! Thank you! Years ago(my how time passes), I was taking country western dance lesson’s. My teacher ALWAYS wore a cowboy hat! One evening he came in without his hat and I saw that he was bald on the top of his head! I was shocked at the difference between wearing a hat and not wearing a hat from the same person. It was like 2 people in the same body! I did finally get used to it!! :)

A favorite love song of mine from long ago...brings tears to my eyes, Billie! I’m listening now with welled up tears....don’t get me wrong......I love it. I’m going to look for his CD if its available now.
And about the little girl, she will have contracts galore and has a whole life ahead of her. She almost has too much talent for her little sweet innocent age. Its remarkable!

Wonderful Opening, Billie. Thank you.
That graphic is perfect.
Reminds me of some early graphics of ladies in hats.
I very seldom see America's Got Talent.
Guess that it airs at a time that conflicts with family time.
Michael Grimm has a very nice voice.
On the news type programs the only person I heard about was a little girl with a big voice.
Wishing you a Terrific Tuesday.

Thank *you*, Meg! Since I opened today with this year's winner of AGT and how much I'm taken with him, it reminded me of last year's winner, and how much I was taken with HIM!
So, with that in mind, I went back to a few of his song links, as well and checking Google to see what I could find on him - he seemed to disappear, and I don't think that AGT even had him perform on any of their results shows this year, but he's apparently still performing his music and also has a new album out. It's called "Long Ride" and here's his first single from the album:
"Like It's The Last Goodbye" ~ Kevin Skinner
This is a post from last year....
Some of you may remember a couple of months ago, I mentioned an amazing new singer named Kevin Skinner, a 35 year old unemployed chicken farmer from Kentucky, whose audition I happened to catch on America's Got Talent. He sang
"If Tomorrow Never Comes" ~ Kevin Skinner,
a Garth Brooks song, and he blew the judges and the audience away - and me, too. His performance was all over YouTube the next day, and I posted a link to it here.
One of the judges has declared him the one to beat each time he performed. Tonight was his third performance, and as they normally 'save the best for last', once again he was the one to close the show.
Here he is, singing Willie Nelson's "You Were Always On My Mind". I left a couple of the judges remarks at the end. Enjoy!

Apologies for the formatting on #1901 and #1912 if it stretched your screens - I should have enclosed it all in a table border with a specific width to keep it from spreading out like that. Hopefully yours doesn’t look as bad as it does on my monitor!

Mornin’ Billie. Boy howdy, what a way to start a Tuesday!! LOL. Great song and perfect graphic. I have a feeling this song is going to be in my head all day long. :-)
I didn’t watch America’s Got Talent, but this performer is great. I can see why he won. I like his version of this song much better than Joe Cocker’s. But then, I never cared much for anything that Joe Cocker did. I never thought he had a lick of talent.
Have a great day, Amy and friends!
