I was so good this weekend: I went to the grocery and didn’t buy a single thing that was chocolate! I did make an apple pie Saturday evening, but there’s still half of it wrapped in foil on the stove ... honest! Won’t be there tomorrow morning, but I needs fruit don’tchaknow. I’m getting ready for a writing marathon, so I’ll be purchasing an assortment of chocolate today or tomorrow. Don’t smoke any more, need chocolate.

Oooo, I like that one! Veggies, cocoa beans ... yeah, I can use that one to absolve myself of guilt! ... _{*Now let's see, I'll add Cadbury with raisins and nuts, to get my fruit allotment, and MilkyWay fun size for the milk and egg portions, then top it all off with candy corn ... as a dessert! Yeah, it works!*}

Well, you know they say “almonds are really great for us” so I just get mine in my chocolate. And chocolate is also good for us, especially dark chocolate. I’ve been waiting all my life for that news! And I think we should always have a fruit pie around because we all know we must eat our fruit daily! Did you have vanilla ice cream with your apple pie?

Writing marathon? Really? Interesting!!

No ice cream ... wouldn’t that qualify as decadent? I was shooting for ‘healthy’, but I can live with decadent too. I’m an ice creamaholic, so I have to be very careful about bringing ice cream into the house.

Could either of you experts tell me the benefits of my biscuits and sausage gravy that I am warming up from yesterday?

LOL! I would recognize that at any angle! Was that while she was in Spain, spending our money??

Um, no, but I’ve found that placing the sausage and biscuits leftovers in a ziplock baggie (on the dish of course, no need to make a mess) for keeping makes it a lot nicer the second day out when you heat in a mickywave. [We old batchelors learn neat tricks.]

One more comment about food choices!

I felt so bad when I bought those glazed donuts in the bakery (that could give Krispy Kreme a run for their money) that I went to the produce department and bought a sliced pineapple in one of those tall containers and watermelon in a smaller container and a small container of mixed citrus fruit. I thought maybe the fruit would kill the calories in those awful donuts.

Well my biscuits and gravy are ready so I must run now!

LOL! You’ve got that right! If we laugh more, it burns calories so we can eat most anything....RIGHT! I will laugh my head off from now on!!
