Well, Palin did a nice pre-emption or diffusional ploy in her speech at the rally. She dared Obama to declare Iraq his victory, etc.
In this case, I'd like to preempt, or at least predict what our conservative leaders should say to preempt Obama and his machine before they pull their October Surprise. So what is your prediction or predictions (let's say 3 or less ideas per person)...
TOPICS: Business/Economy; Chit/Chat; Conspiracy; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: 2010; 2010election; 2010midterms; democrats; election; elections; howtostealanelection; obama; octobersurprise; palin; stealingcongress

I believe Tom Robbins (Susan Surandon's ex) did a movie a few years ago in which a politician staged an assassination attempt on himself.
This would be my prediction.

I can't think of anything of an October surprise that would give Democrats a boost. Any back door amnesty would bring a firestorm back lash. Bombing Iran would be seen as another no win war. Extending the Bush tax cuts would seem foolish as the Democrats have portrayed them as only benefiting the rich. Coming up with some new tax cut for people making under $200,000 might be appealing, but in the face of a massive recession would seem contrary to what the Democrats have preached for decades. The Democrats have painted themselves into a corner and there is no escape from the voter's wrath.

1. Terrorist act, and subsequent suspension of all elections forever.
2. China dumps the dollar, causing financial meltdown and subsequent suspension of all elections forever.
3. Drug gang invasion in Arizona, and subsequent suspension of all elections forever.
Does everyone see the common thread?

I think the worst October surprise for conservatives would be a dramatic apparent attempt on Obamas lifeYou're giving the so called "blue blood" democrats in the house and senate ideas. He lied to them and screwed them, big time. They're going to be joining the other 16% of the unemployed in November.

“I think the worst October surprise for conservatives would be a dramatic apparent attempt on Obamas life, including maybe the actual loss of lives of people around him, in a public venue and videotaped.”
If he dies he will be a martyr, the worst possible for us.
He is just the figurehead, he can be replaced.

My fellow Americans ... In order to bring our nation together, Vice President Joe Biden will tender his resignation and I shall send his replacement, Sarah Palin, to the Senate for, what I trust will be speedy confirmation.
As soon as Mrs. Palin is confirmed, I shall tender my resignation as President.
With these actions, I acknowledge that I made a mistake running for the office of President, and that you, the American people, made a mistake in electing me.

Who knows? This kind of dramatic event might even help him sell a third and fourth memoir.

What newsgroup or political figure are you working for? Honesty in the reason for your request would be nice.
Boy, if I sound like a reporter, I’m insulted. I’m just a self-employed guy who wants a country to pass on to my kids and I keep track to a micro-detail what happens in this country. Simple as that. Oh, and I am one who believes there isn’t a birth certificate and we have a fascist-in-chief run by Soros/Ayers.

He’ll blackmail all the nations in the world into going against Israel (Chicago politics). Israel will be forced to give up Jerusalem or face annihilation. Israel will do it in the name of peace, because Oboma will PROMISE to protect them from Iran, militarily, from now on - but he lies to them. They become sitting ducks. They’ll be attacked by Russia when they’re forced to protect themselves against Iran. Oboma will sit back, laugh, and praise Allah.
That, actually is the most believable, salient idea yet.
