you shouldn’t clog the passing lane

As I said above, it amazes me that anyone would call 76 mph "clogging the passing lane." The speeders seem to be trying to see how many vehicles they can "pass" at one time. Is there some sort of competition going on? Is it in Guinness? What's the record anyway?

Being in the passing lane while people come up behind you is clogging the passing lane regardless of your speed. You could be doing 120 if somebody comes up and you aren’t at least making an effort to get out of the way you’re clogging it, period. Don’t worry about what the speeders are doing, just get out of the way, it’s a PASSING lane, not a hanging out declaring your speed optimal lane.

In my opinion, your continued complaints about people wanting to go faster than 76 is why so many here didn’t really accept that your only issue was taking time to safely move over. Because you certainly sound like you dislike HAVING to move out of the way of someone when you are going 76.

I still say I don’t understand the concept of not being able to move out of the left lane. I’ve never found myself trapped in a lane for more than a few seconds. Have you often missed your exits because you can’t move out of the left lane?
