Lolo Soetoro (Obama's step father) Born 1935 Died 3/2/87 at the age of 52 He was 6 years old when WW 2 started, and 10 years old when it ended. One of these guys must have been the youngest Veteran in the war.

Could he have meant his maternal grandfather? He was likely more of a father figure than Zero’s purported Kenyan father.

Obama’s comments yesterday, at a town hall in New Mexico, that his uncle had helped liberate concentration camps, and was among the “first American troops” at Auschwitz. The blogs and the Republican National Committee have hit Obama hard, criticizing him for not knowing his history — that the Soviets, not the Americans, liberated Auschwitz.

You’re being very generous here. How many people mispeak like that? If he can’t correctly ID his father and his grandfather then he shouldn’t be in a position to lead the country - and this isn’t the only “error” he made regarding his relatives.
