If Republicans reject Sarah Palin, we don't deserve to win

Posted on 08/04/2010 2:07:38 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

To all who support Sarah Palin.

Please do not support or send money to anyone that rejects her in the future. Do not support the RNC. Send your money to SarahPac.

To all of those who don't support Sarah Palin.

I am seeing far too many people buy into the idea that she is not ready to be President. My question is this, What more does she have to do to be ready ? She already has excutive experiance. She is a great leader. I see no reason that she could not be a great President. What makes you think that she is not electable ? If the economy is still bad, ANY REPUBLICAN will win.

If she runs and the party rejects her, we don't deserve to win an election ever again.

This fall, please press your local candidates for their opinion of Sarah Palin. Make phone calls. If you sense they are rejecting her in any way, do not vote for them. She is a perfect litmus test. We have to fight and win this war within our party ASAP. My fear is that we will end up with too many anti Palin Republicans in positions of power. We have to put a stop to that.

When they say she in not ready to be President. That is code talk for "Shes too stupid"

The woman is not stupid. And shame on conservatives who believe she is. I hope she gets the last laugh.

So conservatism is all about Palin now, is it?

Thank you!

THAT is what I find the most irritating! Palin, although drop dead gorgeous (when properly made up) is NOT the face of Conservatism. I find it incredibly infuriating that she has co-opted the "Conservative" mantle.

There is absolutely nothing conservative about her tawdry home situation, her abrupt departure from her elected office, and her apparent inability to read and comprehend the (vaguely written) ethics legislation she signed. I also harbor a sneaking suspicion that Sarah has some tax evasion issues of her own, which explains Billy Kristol's recent "Leave Charlie Rangle alone" column.

Hey! That felt pretty good. Have a great day!

Mike is the kinda guy who would out there knocking on doors, passing out campaign literature, making phone calls, you name it...

*********

And when he does, he’s likely to do more harm than good. How’s he going to behave when a potential voter he’s courting for Sarah says something about her he doesn’t like? Will he calmly and politely make his case to that person? Not likely, since he considers the expression of any negative opinions about Sarah an “attack” by “haters” and he “gets furious” whenever he hears them. I think he might just act like he does on this forum toward anyone who’s less than enraptured at the thought of her in the Oval Office. This would not be a good thing.

Palin lost my support with her McAin endorsement, and there is nothing anyone can say to prove she did the right thing.

The look on McCain’s face as she endorsed him said it all, “Screw conservatives”. Palin is no more than a GOP hack.

Oh I think our FRiend would treat everyone with respect in a 'real-world/real-time' situation. He would understand that in a canvassing role, he 'is' Sarah Palin as he goes door to door and I'm sure he wouldn't do or say anything to cast her in a negative light.

I said “rigorous”.

The 1996 and 2008 campaigns were hardly rigorous. Rather, they followed in the stupid Republican tradition of it being someone’s turn. They were actually coronations.

Would you rather have another coronation than a campaign?

“So, I’m guessing you lean to the left on this site?”

Not sure what prompted this comment, but “no” is the answer.

The campaign has already commenced. Have you been away?

Yes, I must have missed the campaign when we picked a nominee for 2012.

The suspense is killing me...who is it?

“but I have voted AGAINST a lot of people.”

Been there with ‘ya, too. The most important thing is to VOTE. But the above philosophy (of voting against one rather than for the other) that made a lot of us wince last time and vote McCain just won’t cut it this time. Even though we know now he would’ve been better than BHO (who wouldn’t be??), he was a crappy candidate who ran a crappy campaign so it wasn’t enough. We’ve really got our work cut out for us this time, don’t we?

But it’s worth it. And I think it’s started this year, with all these primaries, special elections and finally, November.

Heres the deal. And this was my point..

They have only “Quayled” her IF we give up on her. If we don’t give up on her. If we give her the nomination, they will have to eat crow.

We can’t let them win. Because if we let them destroy conservatives like Palin and others, we are the losers and we are the cowards.

We need to learn from Obama’s 07-08 campaign. We have to swat down any flies and go for a pound of flesh.

That is correct.

I broke off a friendship IRL with someone who said that Sarah Palin used her baby as a prop. I told the guy to get lost and I never want to talk to him again.

But dealing with people in general, you have to be civil. Unless somebody says something terrible about her family, I would stay civil if/when I go door to door.

You'd be in jail in less than week. You couldn't handle it when the person behind the door said Sarah was a bumpkin. You'd go off.

What exactly is wrong with a Bumpkin ? is that the same as “small town person” or “hick”
