I’m fascinated by the creation stories of the various Native American tribes.

The effigy dates to somewhere between AD 1000 and AD 1500.
The year fifteen hundred (1500 AD) is only about 500 years ago. The Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria reached the Americas in 1492. The article itself states that the glyph may have been created after the Europeans (not including the Vikings) reached the Americas and is not really that old in terms of archeological finds, imo.

The first “Blackfoot” I met was a young Frenchman who’s family had owned a vinyard in Algiers, before Charles de Gaulle turned it back to the Arabs. They were called “blackfeet” because they were paramilitary and wore black combat boots (and carried weapons as well as implements).
He stayed with my family for about 6 weeks one summer as an exchange student. From there he wound up in Australia.
He and his family were bitter of how they lost their vinyards, they received little compensation and it was years before it happened.

I don't see any of the three.

This looks way to random to be meaningful. They may as well look for angels on the plains of Kansas.

The Blackfeet were tough bastards. They held off the Lakota, Crow and other tribes from their lands, and were the tribe most feared by the Mountain Men.

Interesting. My husband’s great grandmother was Blackfoot. Thanks for this.
