That honeysuckle looks like art! There is nothing that smells as sweet as honeysuckle! There is some growing wild up back and every now and then, I will get a whiff of it!

It is still blazing hot here but I can tell by the sun and shade in late afternoon/evening. Leaves are here and there in the yard and on my driveway. At least if it gets a bit cooler, I may get to sit out a while!

Thank you, JC!
Another favorite flowering tree or vine is the wysteria.
I wish we could grow it here on the high desert.

I named my turtle "Spot" because it has a big white spot on its shell. It crawls all over my yard...for years!

Thank you, TiaPam. Here is another favorite of mine:

MAGNOLIA

(Here is some information about the Magnolia that I found quite interesting)

* * * * * * * * * *

The Evergreen Magnolia Tree has been around
for several million years according to scientists.

Fossils of Magnolia like trees
have been found that date more than twenty million years,
indicating the very ancient lineage of this, one of the most beautiful of trees.

One scientific theory says that magnolias were the ancestors of nearly all flowering plants,
and according to this theory, they were the first plants
to bear seed in a protective ovary, also called a fruit.

Magnolia is the state flower of both Mississippi and Louisiana.
The flower’s prolific state of growth in Mississippi
is reflected in its state nickname, “Magnolia State”.
The magnolia is also the official state tree of Mississippi.

One of the oldest nicknames for Houston, Texas Is “The Magnolia City”
due to the abundance of Magnolias growing along Buffalo Bayou.
The Magnolia tree can grow up to 80 feet tall, but the norm is about 50-60 feet,
with deep green leaves that are 5 to 7 inches long.

I love wisteria (I don’t have any) but I love that little setting in your picture. That little place would make anyone feel better, wouldn’t it? The little creek with the water is a soothing scene!
