Mel Gibson is poised to quit the US after selling his mansion near New York.
The disgraced Lethal Weapon star, who faces allegations of violence from his Russian former girlfriend, sold the mock Tudor property, known as Old Mill Farm, for £16 million – £10 million less than the asking price.
Gibson has also put his Malibu home, Lavender Hill Farm, on the market for £10 million, according to a property newsletter.
He has told friends that he will move back to Australia - where he grew up after moving from America when he was 12 - with his ex-wife Robyn, who still supports him.
Gibson, 54, is ready to contest the allegations of Oksana Grigorieva, 40, who claims he punched her and hurt their baby, Lucia, in a drunken rage in January.
A source close to the family said: ‘Oksana’s allegations have united Mel and Robyn and this move is her idea.

Oooh! Except her own dentist denied any damage was done nor was there any evidence of her having been hit.
I believe that Mel’s statement was that he didn’t knock out her teeth, but that he knocked out a couple of veneers. Last I heard, her dentist was willing to testify that it was not veneers, but 2 teeth that were knocked out.
Really? I heard that the dentist was willing to testify otherwise.
The dentist submitted the pic I posted. He has also made statements that there was NO lip damage. Mel has made no statements.
If what you heard is true my first question would be how much money they're paying him to "change his mind".

Dr. Ross Shelden treated Oksana Grigorieva the day after Mel Gibson supposedly hit her — and Dr. Shelden offered to let her stay in his home!
Dr. Shelden will be a witness in the case if criminal charges end up being filed against Mel and Oksana’s lawyers asked the dentist to write a declaration last month concerning the incident.
He said in the declaration that he saw evidence of “blunt force trauma” in addition to physical damage. He also noted that her veneers, not her teeth, were damaged with one knocked out completely and the other broken in half.
Though there was no swelling or bruising indicating a punch to the mouth, as Grigorieva originally told police,

Oops, I had misread the article about the dentist, and he daid veneers not teeth, and I misread that as teeth, not veneers. My bad on that. Otherwise, I still think he hit her.
The dentists is claiming that she was hit in the temple. The Russian claims she was hit in the mouth. Somebody needs to get their stories straight.
Where’s the bloody lip damage? Have you ever seen someone punched in the mouth? It ain’t pretty.

Mel Gibson’s family is backing him 100 percent in the wake of his audio rant fiasco, PEOPLE reports. Their source says Robyn Gibson, Mel’s former wife of nearly 30 years, is particularly upset: “She still values her marriage to Mel and she is sick of the media portraying him as a heartless and abusive monster.”
Though the two split in April 2009 following Gibson’s involvement with now-baby-mama Oksana Grigorieva, Mel and Robyn reportedly speak regularly. The Gibsons have seven children together and they continue to raise them as a team, PEOPLE writes.
“Mel has a good support system in his friends and family,” a friend of the couple tells PEOPLE, adding that Gibson’s children are “absolutely” standing by him. “While they do think he needs help for his anger issues, Mel’s family is supportive of him.”
Robyn made a declaration to an LA judge last week to assist her ex in a custody battle with Oksana. “Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage,” Robyn wrote, according to TMZ’s report. “Mel was a wonderful and loving father.”
PEOPLE’s source says, “Mel didn’t ask Robyn for the affidavit. Robyn feels that Mel was and is an amazing dad and she is still very protective of him.” The insider adds that Oksana “pushed Mel over the edge.”

I’ve been hit on the side of the face, hard. It’s really hard for me to remember the exact moment of the hit. I remember standing there right after and wondering if I was going to start laughing or crying, but I know I got hit on the left side of my face. All I’m saying is that I believe Mel hit her.
The evidence doesn't bear that out but it is your prerogative to believe her. The damage done to her veneers is the same damage one would get from biting a raw carrot.
