Good evening.
As we end another celebration of Independence Day and remember a generation's sacrifice and achievements long ago, let us renew our determination to protect and serve our country, its peoples' liberties and heritage through the tough times we now endure.
Don't forget to visit the fundraising thread!
We want to stay open for business!
Here is the latest on the Run Away horse and buggy along the Parade route just South of Dubuque, IA. One woman dead. So far. Others are in serious condition.
Just wanted you to know it wasn’t one of my parades.
Please pray for these people. tks.
It always helps to include the link:
Terrible. Anything is possible with animals, I hope this doesn’t set a precedent that animals can no longer be in parades.
People tend to think they are loveable, which they are most of the time. They are BIG animals. Prayers for the families of loved ones hurt.
Rain seems to be in order for today. The rain canceled our fireworks display last night, so they are suppose to do it tonight. Unfortunately rain is in the forecast again.
We organized a campground bike parade and cookie/lemonade social in our park on Saturday afternoon. Almost on cue, as we started the parade with the kiddies, a sheriff's car pulled in and escorted them around the campfire. The deputies were thrilled to be there at the right time. Great guys!
Thanks for checking in—I went to several sites last night to try to get more info wondering about you.
Good morning!
So sad. Prayers for the injured and their families.
I bet the children were thrilled when the sheriff's car joined the parade.
Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day.
I went to my nephew’s downtown for a family pitch-in. His condo is near where the fireworks are set off and we watched from the green commons area in the center of the complex. Indianapolis shoots them off of a skyscraper and there is music on the radio coordinated with them. Lasted about half an hour.
My husband called yesterday and we had a nice chat.
Iowa Granny, I, too, thought about you when I heard about the parade tragedy. Glad you weren’t there!
We are facing a week in the 90’s every day, so I had bettere get myself outside before it gets too hot. Everyone have a great day!
Holy Smokes...I was just listening to the top 20 hits on Rhapsody and Eminem’s Cold Wind Blows came on. Nothing but locker room swear words. What garbage...but I simply can’t believe it was number three
Good morning.
Thank you for the start and breakfast, Molly and lysie!
It just goes to show you how worthless some ratings are, whether it's for music or presidents.
You are welcome. My pleasure.
It will be a hot and muggy next few days. Greg will not be pleased.
Listening to someone describe a trip to Iwo Jima on Bennett's show. How small and narrow it is & all the thousands who fought there for week after week...the Japanese maintain the 2 monuments there on Mount Surigachi, one for the Americans, and one for the Japanese, and both are immaculate.
Bennett has the best callers!
Raven, those lyrics sound so disgusting and poisonous.
IG, thanks for letting us know about the parades. Prayers for those folks.
Hard on G., but some of us relish it! Glad to a.c. tho.
