So the sun is ramping up to explode and we’re all gonna die. Big deal. Get over it. Have a nice day.

A new LITTLE ice age, possible. Real ice ages had cosmic causes and you’d get at least a century’s worth of warning. There is nothing like that on the horizon now.

Tell that to the mastodons that were froze to death with fresh food in their mouths and in the bellies.

[and probably 40 hours worth of Ghost Hunters reruns]There is more than one episode? I thought they just showed the same one with different sound tracks.

Just checked. 6 meters is D-E-D dead. Nada. Nothing. Ziltch. Zero. Every 11 years, since I was 11 years old and got my first novice ticket, things have been jumping. We're going to miss a cycle. The normal human gets 5 or 6 when he can work DX using a 50mw Altoids can transceiver.
I'm getting cheated out of one.
Old white guys that know morse code hit hardest.
You beat me to it, I always post, "looks like 10 and 6 meter DX is going to suck for a while." B-) B-P I'm also an amateur radio operator and if this is the case, looks like VHF-Lo skip is going to be quiet for a while. I remember there were times I picked up the California Highway Patrol in the 42 Mc band and South African police around 37 Mc. I don't know if they still use pagers in the 35 Mc range but they were good ways to see if the skip is coming in or not.

Otherwise, high frequency radio waves just leave earth to annoy civilizations hundreds of light years away. Please try not to piss anything out there off.
Thanks in advance.

Nope...the backgrounds keep changing so I’m pretty sure there’s more than one.
I like “Ghost Adventures” better.
It cracks me up to hear those guys screaming like little girls.
[and then there’s the really good eps where Zak gets all possessed, screams, cries and/or hits Aaron]

I just hope it will only be like the Maunder Minimum (Little Ice Age) if it follows past solar cycle patterns/
IIRC, being an amateur radio operator, I'm interested in all of this. If we have something that bad, you might lose long range communications on the HF bands during the day and at night, you might be lucky to be able to talk long distances on the 160 (1800 - 2000 kc) and 80 meter (3500 - 4000 kc) bands, maybe 40 (7000 - 7300 kc) at night.

Yep either it came on suddenly or there was a massive shift of the earths crust which moved them north real fast. Which might of happened since they have found coral reefs off the coast of Alaska.

A hundred years? Gee, that *is* a long time. Guess we’d better panic.
