But, you know what? God always answers prayer.
(Sometimes, He takes a little longer than we wish.)
GOD IS GOOD!!!!
That is SO cute, JC!
I’m off to the store - to get you “a little something” to add to your coffee - to PERK YOU UP!!!
See y’all later!
I AM GONE..........SEE YOU L A T E R!
Glad you liked it, just a different viewpoint as it were.
I have called on the Lord for many, many, days to see me through the back pain and let me see my grandson wed..Now I am asking for nothing and just giving Him thanks.
God got me to the wedding...and provided my granddaughter in law, my Navy grandson’s wife as head nurse..She taped up my back with menthol pads..a slight soothing many times..She and my grandson carried ice packs for the reception..I was treated like Queen Mother by everyone..I am the eldest .
It was gorgeous, so much love surrounding me..Nephew Glenn, baby Brooks dad, made it to the wedding and we had an emotional visit..after the wedding and before the dinner..He couldn’t stay and go the reception. My dear sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, great niece and great nephews were there. I thank God he got me through...I was teary from joy..I was only grandparent able to attend..Sarah’s only living grandmother is 80 and could not make the trip from Nebraska.I am the only living grandparent on my family’s side.
I thanked God for the blessing he gave me for allowing me to be there.. If I die today...everyone will know how much I do love them...and I would go knowing how dearly I am loved..
Aren’t weddings wonderful!
I have had periods this past week where the pain stopped me cold...and I woke up that way...but I made it..Praise God. I now am comfortable enough and can type. I will do nothing at all this week but stay as comfortable as possible...My granddaughter inlaw vacuumed yesterday after they brought me home and the young man who tended the kitties will come back in a week to vacuum ..I have faced my limits finally.
I Haven’t had internet since Wednesday...My daughter and her husband had provided me with a lovely room..lots of ice packs and a screened patio with a country view that soothed my soul...but they don’t have the internet wireless working. Their new home is wonderful...Their area is called The Retreat and it surely is.
The wedding took place in Dallas about an hour 20 minutes away from my daughter’s new home
A grandson, the groom’s middle brother, seated me..I was first down the aisle.. The ceremony was lovely..The bride was gorgeous and I have never seen a happier groom..
My Navy grandson wore his uniform and I was one very proud grandma. All four grandsons in the same room is a rarity nowadays. Grandmother loved it.
There was dining and dancing later and everyone had a wonderful time. My daughter in law was beautiful dancing with her eldest, the groom.
It will all go in my memory box of treasures I am blessed to have witnessed.
There is Joy and Gratitude in my heart.
I hope to get pictures soon.

Did I tell you the fun part? Weinie, you would have loved it.. The bride and groom each own a large lab..They were led by my youungest grandson in front of the pews , and out the side door in the sanctuary just before the ceremony..Her Dad had tied Nebraska Huskies kerchiefs around their necks.
(Knowing the groom is all Red Raider Texas Tech)

Shhh..I am the one who sings the Aggie War Hymn..I grew up going to Aggie games and dances..My Red Raider children barely forgave my participation at their Aggie friend’s reception that even had Yell leaders....I knew the chants..LOL
I LOVE the Aggie band
Congrats to the two young folks, and glad to hear you were the Queen of the May as it were. You deserve to be treated as royalty, you’re a family treasure (and the same here!)
It makes me teary and I don’t cry.
Now there you’ve gone and made me teary again.
(((HUGS)))
AND HERE IT IS!!!
(Sure hope it works! Wouldn't want you to end up like ME! LOL!)
Meg, you’re making my monitor all blurry - reading what a wonderful time you had!
I am SO happy for you! What a wonderful “memory box of treasures”, you now have! (What a sweet way for you to put it!)
Welcome back to the restful garden of Amy’s Place!
