We haven't been there for a few years but Hearst Castle is a beautiful place. Some awesome antiques are on display. They now have a self-guided tour ... I would like to take this tour if and when we make it there again.

Oh, JC, what a pretty pool you have!

There have already been over 150 posts, and I almost missed seeing it! (Still trying to catch up on this morning’s pings! LOL!)

I would love to be in there, right now - even though it is almost midnight there - it is stifling here! I have the fan going full blast, and the doors open. (It’s going to be AC time pretty soon.)

Tomorrow the guy comes to do the yard, and he’s going to install a mister around my porch. (That will cool the temp down 30 degrees, when turned on.)

LOVE that pool, JC!!! (And, Nikki didn’t have a clue when she was floating in the water, that she’d have such a beautiful daughter a year later, did she?!!)

Plausible Deniability
June 4, 2010

Answering media charges of scandal and impropriety, the guilty politician responded with the plea, “I have no recollection of those events.” It was yet another attempt of a public figure to apply a strategy called “plausible deniability.” This is when individuals try to create a personal safety net for themselves by seeking to convince others that they had no knowledge of the events in question. Someone else gets blamed and becomes the scapegoat for the guilty person’s wrongs.

Sometimes Christians have their own kind of plausible deniability. We claim ignorance of our wrong behavior, rationalize, or blame others—but God knows the truth. The Bible tells us: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart” (1 Sam. 16:7). This is true whether the heart is pure or if it’s a corrupt heart robed in false claims of innocence. We may fool others who see us only on the outside, but God sees the reality of our hearts—whether good or bad.

It is wise, therefore, to humbly confess our faults to the Lord. He desires that we admit the truth (Ps. 51:6). The only way to escape the sin and restore our fellowship with God is to acknowledge and confess it to Him (vv.3-4).

Dear Lord, be merciful to me;
My sin has grieved Your heart;
And strengthen my resolve, O Lord,
From evil to depart. —D. De Haan
We may successfully fool others, but God knows our hearts.

Read: Psalm 51:1-10

The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. —1 Samuel 16:7

And now for a bit of political poetry

Time To Take It Back

I waited to see what they would do,
This lefty Congress at their ‘best’
Would they rebuild America today anew,
or like always damn us with the rest

No one in DC really seemed to care,
as the rewarded illegals came pouring in
in fact, it became abundantly clear I swear,
to speak out became an unforgiving sin

Their own personal political power,
the goal of the elitist leaders leading all
We struggled with the logic, as facts cower
And the lefties heeded Obama’s socialist call

Hate America is their sick clarion theme,
and taxes their life blood and our duty it seems
Well think again, time to change, Old Son,
its time for the left to have reason to scream

Lying, cheating, and crooked acts galore,
mark the path of the Liberal bent
Like roaches, they can’t stand the light any more,
So clean the house improve the scent

2010 and 2012, are dates to cancel infamy
time to hammer down the nails on the left
Stand to hold the rights of freedom high you see
and see that the future of the left is bereft

For the Ladies
______________

Changing the Stage

Sweet the last kiss of day
upon the silken skin of night
so tender is the gentle passing
as Eve reclaims her dark throne
a zephyr sets the moment’s tone
at the soft shadows now massing
now for touch instead of sight
the gifted price a lover pays

Cinnamon rolls are on the side table, hot and with a sweet frosting, nuts and all.

We need to take America back, before the left take it away!

That pool looks so fine!!!!!!!!!!

I could simply float around all day.
If I can float around in your pool, I’ll cook dinner for you (and even do the dishes!)
