Oh, that is WONDERFUL, MEG!! I am so happy for you! Did you dance? I've always said that I want to live long enough to dance at my grandson's wedding. Now that my oldest grandson is almost of marrying age, I am going to amend that to read....my great grandson's wedding! ;-)

ON BEING AN INDIAN

Here I stand looking west
Hair full of sunset
Nostrils full of driftwood smoke
Eyes full of raging sea
Ears full of wind songs
Veins full of ancestors
And I thank my God
For not letting me choose my culture.

I was the only living grandparent on my grandson’s side..I was determined to go..I had s pillow, back patches and ice pack ..My granddaughter in law is a great patch applier..

I had the added blessing of seeing all my husband’s brothers and wives and some neices and nephews..My eyes were teary before I ever was seated from the joy of seeing so much family..
My Navy grandson( on leave) and his wife picked me up and brought me home...We had a good visit at my daughter’s new home..My daughter’s health and the move prevented her from attending.

June 30, 2010

A South African man surprised nine men robbing his home. Seven of the robbers ran away, but the homeowner managed to shove two into his backyard pool. After realizing that one of the robbers couldn’t swim, the homeowner jumped in to save him. The Cape Times reports that once out of the pool, the wet thief called to his friends to come back. Then he pulled a knife and threatened the man who had just rescued him. The homeowner said, “We were still standing near the pool, and when I saw the knife I just threw him back in. But he was gasping for air and was drowning. So I rescued him again.”

In his letter to the Colossians, the apostle Paul wrote of another rescue:God the Father had saved them from the domain of darkness. This rescue occurred at the death of Christ, but also at the Colossians’ conversion. The imagery Paul used (1:12-13) suggests that believers have been rescued from the dark reign of Satan by being transferred as free people into the peaceable rule of Christ. By Jesus’ death, believers become free citizens in the kingdom of light.

The appropriate response to such amazing grace is to show joyous gratitude by offering God acceptable service with reverence and awe (Heb. 12:28).

Your love, O God, would spare no pain
To conquer death and win;
You sent Your only Son to die
To rescue us from sin. —M. Gustafson

Through the cross, Jesus rescued and redeemed the rebellious.

Read: Colossians 1:12-23

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. —Colossians 1:13

Good Morning Mayor ~
This was a very impressive story and demonstrates how we often “ stab in the back” those who come to rescue us, even our Precious Lord Jesus.

Young pups are pretty much the same,
All the world around.
They’re living their most lofty dreams,
In contact with the ground.

They always have a need to learn,
Where they should do their tinkling.
These have been most difficult,
They do a lot of sprinkling.

Good morning, All. Happy WFWednesday.

Looks like Murphy's Law has struck the Just household again.
Before swim classes yesterday, I made a fast trip to the drug store.
When I opened my prescription bottle this am, the bottle was EMPTY!!!
So it will be another mad dash into FResno today. Never a dull moment. :)

At least I suffered no heat related problems yesterday.
The hi temp dropped from 108 on Monday to 102 yesterday.
Good news is that today should be a little cooler. WHEW!!!

Enjoy your Wednesday and make it a Cooler Fuzzy Wednesday.
