13. But Jacob said to him, My lord knows that the children are weak, and the flocks and herds which are nursing are with me. And if the men should drive them hard one day, all the flock will die.
14. Please let my lord go on ahead before his servant. I will lead on slowly at a pace which the livestock that go before me, and the children, are able to endure, until I come to my lord in Seir.
15. And Esau said, Now let me leave with you some of the people who are with me.
But he said, What need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord. 16 So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
17. And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, built himself a house, and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.[a]
Jacob Comes to Canaan
18. Then Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan Aram; and he pitched his tent before the city.
19. And he bought the parcel of land, where he had pitched his tent, from the children of Hamor, Shechems father, for one hundred pieces of money.
2. Then he erected an altar there and called it El Elohe- Israel.

Interesting, Esau left some of his people with Jacob, and Jacob went his own way. Away from Esau. He thought well to stay away from Esau. Wonder if the people Esau left with Jacob stayed with Jacob after he settled..
Esau stayed at odds with the LORD. As did Cain. and later Israel. The 10 lost tribes.
There are so many depths to the Scriptures: we can learn from it all life long.
Father, help us in our day, to be pleasing to You, in Jesus name, Amen.

...”Whom have you influenced through your wise and godly wisdom?” ...
Hopefully, it is a part of us, Attitudes, demeanor, words, actions, everywhere we go, everything we do, say, at home, and away. In times of joy, stress, difficulty, and success. Because all who are around us are noticing.
Aren’t we seeing and watching others also?
Father God, help us in our day to show the light of Christ Jesus in the world,, in Jesus name, amen.
I was hoping I could be with you today BUT.....I went to shock the pool and it was so messed up with the storms we've been having (I didn't know how bad). I skimmed the top with the larger stuff with the net. Had to clean the skimmer basket as it was hardly running. I shocked the water and added chlorine tabs and am so tired.
You haven't heard the worst, everyone! I looked way up back and a pine tree had fallen onto my beautiful red bud tree. I have never seen such a mess. Two trees lying there...its awful! And am I down?? YES, I AM! Tired of all of it! YES I AM! I wish I could run away from home but there's nowhere to run! I can't take things as good as I used to!!
I want my Mommy!
Where ever we are, what ever we experience, God is teaching us valuable lessons. The LORD has given us many promises, if we follow His way, and do as His scriptures teach us. Difficult it may be. Christ Jesus is the one we are to be molded ... ever more like Him. He was without sin. We are to follow His commands. There are many.
God knows our heart. Cast your cares upon Him and He will give you peace.
“1 Peter 5:7 (New King James Version)
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
