Sorry about double post. Kept getting a pop-up window saying we have to resend...blah,blah,blah...and I just kept clicking the back arrow...and look what happened! Those windows drive me crazy sometimes. Just happens now and then.
I had to go back to find this as I thought it was so pretty, Meg! Love that frame color!
Just noticed another double post! Makes me so mad....sorry!
That sounds yummy. I had a taste of Marissa’s Oreo Cookie Blaster yesterday. It was pretty good.
I may raid the freezer later to see what flavor ice cream we have. :)
When I can’t sleep, I should look for graphics. I usually spend the time playing Free Cell. A complete waste of precious time. LOL
Thank you, Jaycee. It is fun to find sweet, funny or/and cute pictures for WFW.
Thank you, Conor.
Rest in Peace, Marine Steven James Birdsall. Thank you for your service and thank you for your sacrifice.
May your family and friends find comfort knowing that you will not be forgotten. May God Bless and Comfort your family as they mourn their loss.
We don’t go to Denney’s very often. There are two or three places that Marissa looks forward to during summer break. She like Denney’s, Sweet Tomatoes (a salad buffet with soups, pizza and desserts) and a Chinese Buffet that usually has crab legs and calamari. I think she would eat fish every night.
I don’t know why that happens but it is sure irritating.
Jesus taught that the world seen from Gods viewpoint is tilted in favor of the oppressed. This teaching emerges in the Sermon on the Mount and other statements of Jesus: the first will be last (Matt. 19:30; Mark 10:31; Luke 13:30), and he who humbles himself will be exalted (Luke 14:11; 18:14). But why would God single out the oppressed for special attention?
1. Suffering helps us realize our urgent need for redemption.
2. Suffering helps us experience our dependence on God and our interdependence with one another.
3. Suffering helps us distinguish between necessities and luxuries.
4. Suffering helps us respond to the call of the gospel because we may have become so desperate that we cry out to God.
The poor, the hungry, the mourners, and those who suffer are blessed (Matt. 5:3-6) because their lack of self-sufficiency is obvious to them every day. They must turn somewhere for strength. People who are rich, successful, and beautiful may go through life relying on their natural gifts. But people who are needy, dependent, and dissatisfied with life are more likely to welcome Gods free gift of love.
Blessed are the poor in spirit. Why? Because theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:3).
Amen! Great devotional this morning!!
Good Morning from June Gloom Los Angeles!
I am so busy right now, getting ready for our grandson’s “ Culmination” tomorrow from 6th grade. Add to that a migraine and I am limping along here.
Hope everyone is doing well. Summer is fast approaching.
Praying for a miracle in November 2010 elections!!

Meg, I just read where Brooks is going home today!! Isn’t that wonderful? I wanted to write something but this time, I couldn’t find a place to answer! I know you probably have heard this but I just wanted to tell you how happy I am for this little family. ((((Praise the Lord!!)))))
I will be out and about some today so don’t know when I’ll be back on Amy’s today. See you later!
I hadn’t read that yet, Jaycee. Thank God!!
I am so happy to hear this, Meg. Please let Brooks’ family know that he is now part of the Amy’s Place Family and we will be anxious to hear updates.
Thank you, Father, for answering our prayers.

I was trying to send a funny email and I’ll be darned, while I was working on it....you posted while I was doing this...LOL!
It is wonderful about Brooks! Meg may probably already know this. God Bless that little family. See you later, Amy, as I am out the door now. BBL!!
Good morning, Rus. Thank you for today’s scripture.
Our country is suffering, Rus. As a country, we need to return to our Christian roots and ask for God’s help during these difficult times.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
Looks like you turned the lights off before I could get here, Jaycee. Guess that will teach me to have another cup of coffee. :)
Have a Terrific Thursday.
