Losing friends over Palin (Have you ever lost friends over politics ?)

I have lost THREE real life friends now in trying to defend Sarah Palin. On one hand I tend to think the people who call her stupid are not the kind of people I even want as friends anyhow. However, I wonder if im being too harsh and going too far.

I know our country was divided on President Bush. But the division and the hatred for Sarah Palin has been able to top anything. Before Palin, I had a much more positive outlook on people (especially women, mothers, ect) and life in general. Now I find myself seeing people through a totally different lens.

I understand why I am so outraged as a husband and father of two girls. But what is wrong with WOMEN in this country ? they have really let Sarah Palin and her family down by not standing up enough and drawing a line in the sand.

Well obviously now is NOT the right time to announce, before this years election, but neither is Fall 2011. That will be too late as with Fred Thompson.

I don't mind telling you what I think of you kid, I think you are so emotionally invested in Sarah Palin, that your teeth clench and grind together (by your own admission) anytime you see one bloody word that isn't praising your idol.

That should concern you. It's the same sort of self-brainwashed behavior we observed in the 0bama worshipers in 2008.

I rely on common sense and logic. I don’t see anyone better out in the Republican bullpen. Can you think of anyone who ignites Reagan Conservatism the way she does on the national stage ?

She will get her 8 years I predict. But this country is 300 million times bigger than she is. And there will still be serious problems. I hope she inspires future generations to fight for what is right. We need more Sarah Palins.

I would like to enter politics myself some day.

the way she was treated was terrible. and the only way to correct it is for her to succeed. Or the other regular Sarah Palins in this country will stay the heck out of politics out of fear.

That is what the Hillary supporters said at the beginning of the 2008 democratic primary. They were pretty disappointed when it didnt turn out that way. Don't count your chickens....

Sorry, this was a general statement, not directed specifically at you, unless you are enamored by any banal, humanistic intentions that harm liberty and slap God in the face.

When one brings up living a self-righteously "green life" while condemning capitalism, pro-"choice" voter, defaming public figures who promote conservative values improperly (Like the TC original post) without logical rational, along with being a cheerleader for Etatism and all the theft it promotes, needs to be challenged at will whether you are 12 or 112 years old. I understand the boorish behavior bit and agreed, one should hold their tongue until provoked. Once provoked however, the defender of liberty should use facts as well as any kind of ridicule to force the other hand to defend their position (I.E. get people thinking) of the advancement in government intrusion and the promotion of perversion as well as murder for personnel convenience.

Romney winning the nomination is certainly a good possibility at this point anyway (considering GOP history, McCain, Dole). But se_ohio posted that he didnt think that was likely.
