I think obesity is an emotional disease or a reaction to stress, anxiety, boredom, fear.

I'm sure that the more financially secure eat less or eat better than the anxious poor or financially insecure.

Food is a drug or antidepressant or coping mechanism just like booze or drugs. Kinda like TV.

I have read similar; that stress or fear of want later drives the body to pack in carbs to store. I have to admit though that in any fat person’s cart I rarely see vegetables or fresh foods. Almost all processed.

In addition, a medical problem that limits a person's ability to exercise will likely also tap their bank account.

So say you have someone who really needs a hip or knee replacement, and is only able to work 30 hours a week - at a job less than what they used to do...think they will be at whole foods?
