Has the grass been trimmed, or are your landscapers back at school?
LOL, maybe God was helping you hold it.
The positive response from the public is increasing.
I have also noticed people becoming more aware of truths, but not enough of them, yet. You are doing good work.
I pulled my spinach and planted some spanish onions.
Hubby said he would take some pictures for me soon.
Thank you!
He did some of the front yard today while I was out with the others. I’ll make him do more tomorrow.
We had another big thunderstorm. The power went out at the site of the graduation party we were attending, but it’s still light, so it wasn’t a big problem. At our house, a few miles away, the electric is still on.
We left Bill and Elen at the party, since they were vociferously socializing. Our neighbor will bring them home later.
Whoa! Went to look at booking flights for the reunion and the *lowest* we could get was 40k miles each. And terrible flight times; I just don’t do red-eyes well.
Southwest is said to be better. Fat lot of good that would do you.
I would take a train trip along the cost sometime.
Southwest isn’t as fun since they quit doing bad drivers license contest.
Last time I got my license renewed, I complained that the picture was of poor quality.
“No problem, Sir! I can take another picture.” And he proceeded to do so.
“It’s no good. The color is all washed out of this one, too.” I complained again.
He just stared at me.
“Never mind. It’ll have to do.”
.
I know what’s going on. My driver’s license picture is like the portrait of Dorian Gray. It keeps getting older and more decrepit.
I’m glad that’s not how I really look.
Are you from Peru?
Were the rest of the customers demanding one too?
Inquiring (and silly) minds want to know!
LOL,,,Louisiana here,,,
An older gent (70’s) at the next table did start laffin’,,,
Me’Maw was kickin’ him under the table tryin’ to make hush.
That made Everybody turn around and look,,,
Too Funi !,,,
We have sent that pic to the e-mail list,,,
The local health dep. will get one tomorrow,,,
Needless to say Ryans is off the places to eat...;0)
Yah. I have zero status and miles with Southwest. Though I know folks who swear by them and none who swear at them.
Train trips do cost. I priced Seattle to Orlando last January. Amtrak was only 3x the airline cost, but instead of 6 - 8 hours in transit this was 3 full days.
It’s a reason people stay home.
Seaman Anoreth Ping! In which the Seaman discovers that alcohol causes dehydration and that's No Fun.

We are in Thailand again, but in a different and less ghetto town called Phuket. We anchored in the bay, far enough away from the pier that it takes the incredibly slow water taxi a good 30 minutes to travel the three miles from the ship to the dock.
I bought a switchblade in the mall. It's extremely cool. You can't even tell it's a knife until I open it. This is a nicer place than the last one. The water is clear enough that you can see 20 feet down. There are sharks (hammerheads mainly), and flying fish. Also there are a good many jellyfish, ranging from large numbers of a gigantic pink variety that is fairly harmless to man-o-wars and Australian Box jellyfish, which are the size of a ping-pong ball and can give you instant cardiac arrest if you get stung. And there are those striped sea snakes that Jeff Corwin is always going on about. I'm not going swimming here.
Also, last night on watch, I saw several enormous bats flying around. Those were cool. Nobody else thought so. It rains a lot here. There are stray cows wandering all over the streets, plus the usual dogs and rats and small kids. We went and got drunk the first night here, at a bar with a large metal statue of Predator at one entrance and another statue of Master Chief at the other door. I'm done getting drunk now, because I had a bad hangover afterwards and had to handle lines in full sun all day. Not fun. I'll wait on that until we go somewhere where there's a pier to tie up to.
Today (Monday/Tuesday) I'm going to get some sleep, but tomorrow I'm thinking about going around to some Buddhist temples. I hear they have architecture in them. There's one visible from the bridge ... it has a huge statue of Buddha on top of it, like Christ on the mountain. Should be interesting.
It must be morning. I’ve been reading since 2:30, and just as I was finishing the book, a migraine hit. *sigh*
Ohwell. I’ll just sit here and pretend I’m normal.
It’s morning. Bill and Elen were out really late at the graduation party (like after 11), so I’m a little stuned today, myself.
Like being hungover without the forgotten fun, eh?
