I just switched from pro life to pro choice because I am a liberal who likes watching babies die and from pro gun to anti gun because I don't give a crap about my property or the safety of my family. I've always supported amnesty for illegal aliens. Because I profit off helping them steal identities..
Your xenophobia is showing. And this from a bear!
There’s probably a reason that science fiction shows don’t show rodentoid species, but probably not a good reason.
Bears are people too ya know. With all the faults and failing that implies.
Actually my "developing nation" upbringing is showing. Rats and other vermin were a real problem in some places. The only way to keep your food safe was to seal it in Tupperware and then store that inside a latched metal box.
Otherwise you opened a box of oats to find a unpleasant whiskered surprise.
At least you didn’t shout ...
... or wave it about.
LOL,,,Oh yes I did,,,Full-Flame mode,,,
The damned food was cold and the fly was the last straw...
$25. Maybe it’s just a misdemeanor.
I didn’t like Ratatouille, either, and just couldn’t get into Over the Hedge.
I think the critics get a kickback from the movie makers ~~ if a movie is bad, the critics rave, just to get more money. If the movie is good, they don’t need to because they know the money will come in, anyway.
Just sayin’.
But what do I know? Today is a blonde day for me.
I have a CD of Pixar short films. I think my favorite is The Chess Game.
Some days, I have to close the Door Into Summer, or the A/C runs too much and I get too cold to move.
No rain, here. 90s today.
There is something wickedly wrong with a person who thinks sewer rats in a restaurant kitchen is a fun idea. *ptooie*
It’s a wonder we ever keep warm in the old houses. The older homes here were made well because of the heat, and most were cooled with swamp coolers.
Der Prinz won the statewide Knights of Columbus Fatherhood award. Dona Edra announced it at the Spanish Mass yesterday, but DP couldn’t understand anything except his name and didn’t know why everyone was clapping ;-).
See? He not only gets an award from the ‘Face, but wins for Fatherhood! Awesome!! Give him a hug for me.
(He doesn’t need to understand why they clap ~ just that they do when his name is mentioned.)
See? Awesome!
Quite. They’re saying they’re going to reschedule the Spanish Mass to 8:00 a.m. starting in September. Should be interesting!
Let me know how it goes.
We move into our new chapel next week, services at 9:30 which is rather odd. Most chapels around the world have Sacrament Meeting at 9:00, so even if we are out of town, we can find a chapel and attend. I’ve seen them start at 8:30 but this is different. The curriculum is the same all around the world as well, so we never miss out on a lesson.
There will be four wards meeting there, and each has a three-hour block of meetings, so I don’t know where the 9:30 will fit in. Usually, it’s staggered in two-hour increments because of the availability of the rooms. Bt the time we get done in the chapel, it’s usually time for the next ward to meet there.
And it’s normally done in January, but this is a brand-spanking-new chapel, so the rules have changed. (We’re moving out of the chapel that Marie Osmond attends.)
I hope it works out well with your new chapel. Our church is rescheduling the services in hopes of fitting more people in. If there’s no Sunday afternoon Mass, they can hold some Sunday School classes, too.
That’s good!
That’s one of the reasons the Church went to the Block system. Too many members spent too many nights away from their families, so in an effort to bring families closer together during the week, the only things that are scheduled are special youth group meetings, and Scouts, and LOTS of parents show up for those meetings, anyway.
All other meetings, like Sunday School and Primary, are on the Sunday block. So far, so good.
