'Tis a thing of beauty; my blank template ready for planting!

The tomato cages are there to remind me where to leave some rows for walking! Our friend Mike tilled for me yesterday, God Bless Him!

Leeks, onions and brussels sprout. Beans are in, too, but those are hard to see underground, LOL!

Mighty pretty soil for being clay. Looks more like 20 years of working it over with organic material.

What are those green things stuck to the trees in the background?

That is beautiful soil! Saw you post last night on last weeks thread your friend Mike did a great job.

I just used my little tiller this year and the soil was beautiful before I added my compost. I hated to walk on it.

LOL about leaving room for walking. I almost got my rows too close together again this year. I have several tomato plants that already grew past the row and had to tie them up with cloth.

1) Where’d you get those neat tomato cages?

2) I received a beautiful hydrangea from my daughter — FTD — and it came with care instructions for every plant that they could have sent — EXCEPT my hydrangea. Many hydrangeas grow in WI and some will not. This one is bright blue with green and pink tinged edges before the petals fully color up. It is unmarked. Do you have any suggestions for miscellaneous hydrangea care in WI?

Or, is this heartbreak waiting to happen? I’ll take a picture and post it.

That's a mouth watering picture!

I love virgin gardens. :-)

We finally filled the second raised bed with soil this week, and I keep changing my mind about what to plant in it. Can I put beans, carrots and tomatoes in the same 4x8 bed?
