I think Texas has lost its last Pig Stand.

I’m pretty sure John Edwards had an “after dinner date”, as well.

I once had a crack whore sneeze on my had in a Krystal.
I can't blame Krystal, but the memory keeps me from patronizing that chain ever again.

True story.

The girl at the counter at Krystal in New Orleans got mad at me (I wasn’t even standing AT the counter) for taking too long looking at the menu (I wasn’t holding up any line).

I’d never been in one before and was looking at the lingo and figuring out what I’d want. She said “it’s Krystal, they all the same”.

My best friend LOVES them, but I refuse to go. I won’t even go through the drive thru with her, the food smells so bad that it makes me feel ill to be in the car with it.

"Good news if you love that White Castle smell"

As regards to the "smell" are we talking pre-consumption or post-consumption?

I was born in '48 in a sub'b of Boston and remember Joe and Nemo's in the late 50's, early 60's when I skipped school.

I never knew the Scolley Sq. joint, but I knew the Summer St. one.

Though the article does not say, I'm almost POSITIVE J&N had steamed hamburgers.

IMO, Boston ALWAYS had good eatin' joints ... dives, if you will ... that served a big plate of whatever for cheap bucks.

Sometimes you stood up to eat, sometimes it was a sawdust floor ... but the food was hot, good and plentiful.

The Boston I remember was a beautiful place to grow up in.
