"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

"Our times are in God’s hands; our souls are in His keeping."

Good morning, Rus.
Thank you for today's devotional.
A great beginning. When is the NY primary? Ours is on the 8th.
Sure hope we can get some good conservatives on the ballot here and in NY.

Wishing you a beautiful Friday.

Good morning, Tiapam. Thank you.
Have never seen a dog try to walk with slippers.
I can picture one on a highly waxed hardwood floor.
Heck, sometimes it is rough for us human types. :)

Wishing you a lovely Friday.

I'm sure I posted this graphic last week .... maybe I posted it to Yorkie. LOL

This article brought to mind the song lyric ...

“Only the good die young.” Jesus was about 33, Stephen who was full of the Holy Spirit, was the first martyr, and died young. And Saul stood by watching. It no doubt played a major effect in Paul's mind to witness Stephen's stoning.

After Paul's conversion experience, he, himself, when it was his turn, like Stephen, to experience stoning, shipwrecks, severe, beating, etc., stood firm and steadfast until the end, no matter what!
__________________________________________________________
Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

This is an excerpt from the commentary of Matthew Fox regarding this section of Scripture

“55:6-13 Here is a gracious offer of pardon, and peace, and of all happiness. It shall not be in vain to seek God, now his word is calling to us, and his Spirit is striving with us. But there is a day coming when he will not be found. There may come such a time in this life; it is certain that at death and judgment the door will be shut.

There must be not only a change of the way, but a change of the mind. We must alter our judgments about persons and things. It is not enough to break off from evil practices, we must strive against evil thoughts. To repent is to return to our Lord, against whom we have rebelled. If we do so, God will multiply to pardon, as we have multiplied to offend. But let none trifle with this plenteous mercy, or use it as an occasion to sin.

Men's thoughts concerning sin, Christ, and holiness, concerning this world and the other, vastly differ from God's; but in nothing more than in the matter of pardon. We forgive, and cannot forget; but when God forgives sin, he remembers it no more.

...

...

...

Instead of being profane, contentious, selfish, or sensual, behold him patient, humble, kind, and peaceable. The hope of helping in such a work should urge us to spread the gospel of salvation. And do thou help us, O Spirit of all truth, to have such views of the fulness, freeness, and greatness of the rich mercy in Christ, as may remove from us all narrow views of sovereign grace.

Psalm 103:11"For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him."

Billy Graham is a great man. Yorkie, no one knows what the Lord can do better than I do. I lived half my life without Jesus Christ and I know what despair and lost feels like. After several miracles occurred in my life, God audibly called me to “Feed my Sheep”, and would not give me rest until I answered that call (I was 52). I spent 6 1/2 years learning all I could about God’s Word. I learned Greek & Hebrew and how to study the Scriptures. I learned to trust my Lord in all things from the smallest to the largest. I have been faithful to feed His lambs for 18 years, and have led many of them to accept Christ as Lord and Savior.

It has never been easy to be a woman in the ministry. I even did not believe that women were allowed to be pastors, which is why it took me 4 years to answer the persistent call, during which time I thought God was calling my husband through me. Not so, said the Lord, it was me who was to GO. He put it to me in no uncertain terms. I guess I know how some of the women in the Bible felt when called to God’s purposes. Do I get discouraged sometimes? Yes I do. But I surely know the ending of the story. No matter how bad things get, God always wins, and will eventually give the devil his due.

This is more than I’ve ever said publicly about my call. I pray it doesn’t start an argument about women preachers. That is why I don’t mention my job. Everyone has their opinion and I honor that. Only I am the one who knows what happened in my life and how I was chosen. I answer only to God.

Do that LTOS. Let me know if the old hotel is sill there. I left Fla. in 63 and only went back to Miami one time. I have never missed it. Left some bad memories there.

There, you hit the nail on the head. Love can’t exist in a vacuum. We live in a duelistic world. How could we understand good unless we had evil with which to contrast it? Aristotle talked about “The Golden Mean” being the best possible position to be in. I call it being in “balance”. Even what we call good can become evil as we sometimes see in people who become over zealous with their “religion” and use it to harm others. Too much exercise will kill you. Eating is good and necessary, but too much eating will also kill you.

TWO RED BOWS UPON MY SHOES

Today I go to dance class
Two red bows upon my shoes
My Mommy said they're special
Because she got some news:

My Daddy won't be coming home
He went to Heaven yesterday
He joined the other soldier there,
We must be brave and pray.

The red bows are to honor him
And show the world we care
For all he gave his country
And the pride we all will share.

So today I go to dance class
And though my eyes are FILLED with tears,
I'll wear two red bows upon my shows
And remember Daddy from past years.

Thank you, Nan.

Did I ever thank you for praying for me at the Church Camp? That is something I will never forget.

I told you that it felt like I was reliving my childhood and attending an old fashion tent revival. An awesome experience.

If we ever get back, I would like for it to be during the Camp Revival.

Have a wonderful Friday and a Blessed Weekend.
