High-Tech Communication
Now we have received . . . the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12
When it comes to communication, our world is becoming increasingly high-tech. The popularity of things like Twitter and Facebook might cause some to think the Bible is too old-school. The tech-savvy people of our world might feel deterred because there are no sounds and no nifty graphics in the Bible. But the truth is, theres more high-tech power in Gods Word than in any cutting-edge communication tool our world will ever know.
Its not uncommon for a pastor to be told, When you said that in your message, it was just what I needed. Somehow during the sermon, God spoke to the persons heart with a message tailor-made for him or her. If youve ever read the Bible and sensed God speaking directly to you, you know what Im talking about. God has hard-wired you with His Spirit, who illumines your mind to understand His Word.
Imagine getting a text message directly from the Creator of the universe telling you exactly what you need at exactly the right time. No matter how high-tech this world gets, youll never experience a more powerful mode of communication!
Rejoice in the reality that we have received . . . the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God (1 Cor. 2:12).
Give me the insight, Lord,
As I hear Your Word today,
So I will truly understand
Your message and Your way. Monroe
The Bible may be old, but its truths are always new.

Say aa little prayer that I saved the baby bird Cardinal..The nest let go on one side(I’ve been worried about the nest falling as it seemed on flimsy foliage)
I saw the nest moving..Momma bird flittering around later and then I noticed the baby on the patio edge..I wired a basket undeneath the nest and placed the baby back in..Mom saw me..I just hope it works and she returns.She may not like my handiwork.

A Blessed Pentecost Sunday to all Before the Spirit came, you were just words on a page,
Black on white and yellowed with age.
Simply a story of long ago,
Of a man who had so much love to show;
Who healed the sick and cured the lame;
Took our guilt and bore our shame.
It sounded so good, but it just couldn't last.
It was not for today but locked in the past.
Until the Spirit came.
Now the Spirit has come, you are here at my side,
Larger than life and ready to guide;
Making real to me all that you said
And doing through me the things that I read.
I am the glove that your hand has filled;
I am the cup into which you have spilled
All the love and the power which you promised would come,
Right now in the present and for everyone.
Since the Spirit came.

I...."placed the baby back in..Mom saw me..
I just hope it works and she returns. She may not like my handiwork"
Even if she doesn't like your "handiwork",
Papa cardinal may LOVE it - and he will feed his baby. Remember, it is the MALE who actually 'rules the roost'!
(At least in the Cardinal family.) LOL

;o)
I just hope I fixed a sturdy enough platform for the nest..The baby bird is not old enough to fly.
My cats knew something was up..then watched me as I walked around asking God to help me think how to fix the nest..then the flurry of activity as I worked on it ..
I so hope Daddy Cardinal approves!
