Amy, it isn't hard to make a beautiful ring, when you have a brilliant DIAMOND and 24k GOLD to work with.

Oh, and.....Thank you! ((((HUGS))))

Oh my, how that girl has grown. I'll bet she is smart too.

Yes, as usual, I posted and then had to run. That is why I seldom come here. I hate not being able to just sit and chat. And it's not fair to all the other posters. Today, I felt I wanted to be among FRiends because my sister passed away yesterday. She was my last remaining sister. The other one died at age 34.

I see where you were talking about getting tooth work done. Hope that turns out well.

Ha...the easiest dental work I ever had was having all the uppers pulled and dentures put in the same day, and then having all the lower teeth pulled and dentures put in the same day. Voila! No more teeth problems. No more pain. I loves my teeth.

Okay, so I'm late getting back. Like to said, this is why I don't come here. I can never stay long.

Well, you just need to come back to WV. It's the country's best kept secret and I hope it stays that way.

I love the looks of the little Yorkies. I keep thinking that one would be a good companion in case I should outlive my husband. We think of these things as we grow older. Do the Yorkie's shed badly? That is my biggest objection to animals in the house. I can't stand to see animal hair on my clothes and furniture, because then I know that it is also in the food. My children have dogs, but I have resisted. I was raised in a time when animals were kept because they had a job to do....outside. LOL

Oh Nan. I am so sorry; please accept our condolences. It is difficult losing a sibling. I lost a sister in an auto accident when she was 18. You and your family are in my prayers.

Marissa has been having trouble with math. She is doing a little better but will never be a mathematician.

I have her signed up for some reading classes this summer. She was fighting it but has been doing much better recently. She found a book that she really enjoyed and does not fight it as much.

Marissa was 10 in December; how old is Emma now?

We will never forget the wonderful visit we had in WV.

Miss Emma will be 6 in June. She is graduating from pre-school tomorrow night. She has played T-Ball and Soccer since she was 3. She is a joy. She and I had us a good “woman” cry yesterday when we started talking about her not staying with Grammy after she starts to school. We both slobbered up a real good weep.

Yorkies don’t shed, Nan. Of course, there is a little hair, here and there, but they are not ‘shedders’. Oh, dear, if you get a yorkie puppy, PLEASE let us know.

Oh, and thank you for the condolences. I too won’t forget your and Marissa and Lori’s visit. There is a possibility of another family coming from CA this summer. Don’t know for sure yet. Seems like all my Freeper FRiends come from CA.

That’s a good thing isn’t it. Okay, if I ever get one I will let you know. In fact, I will have to ask you where I can get a good registered one.

"Today, I felt I wanted to be among Friends
because my sister passed away yesterday."

Oh, Nan, I am sooo sorry for your loss.

The following was written by a Rabbi,
And, even though I am a Christian,
The words touched my heart,
As I pray they touch yours:

DEATH IS NOT THE ENEMY
(Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman)

I often feel that death is not the enemy of life, but its friend; for it is the
knowledge that our years are limited which makes them so precious. It
is the truth that time is but lent to us which makes us, at our best, look
upon our years as a trust handed into our temporary keeping.

We are like children privileged to spend a day in a great park, a park
filled with many gardens and playgrounds, and azure-tinted lakes and
boats sailing upon tranquil waves.

True, the day allotted to each of us is not the same in length, in light, in
beauty. Some children of earth are privileged to spend a long and sunlit
day in the garden of the earth. For others, the day is shorter, cloudier,
and dusk descends more quickly as in a winter’s tale.

But whether our life is a long summery day or a shorter wintry
afternoon, we know that inevitably there are storms and squalls which
overcast even the bluest heaven and there are sunlit rays which pierce
the darkest autumn sky. The day we are privileged to spend in the great
park of life is not the same for all human beings; but there is enough
beauty and joy and gaiety in the hours, if we but treasure them.

Then for each of us the moment comes when the great nurse, death,
takes us by the hand and quietly says, “It is time to go home. Night is
coming. It is your bedtime, child of earth. Come, you’re tired. Lie
down at last in the quiet nursery of nature and sleep. Sleep well. The
day is gone. Stars shine in the canopy of eternity.

That is very beautiful, Yorkie. The Jews have such beautiful literature. I do so love the Old Testament and the wisdom that is found there. Yes, death is not the enemy, and that is especially true of this sister. Her life was a prison. She married a psycopath who isolated her from her family and controlled her every move and thought. I went to see her two weeks ago to say goodbye. I knew he wouldn’t let me in the door if he knew I was coming, so hubby and I showed up unannounced. If he had refused me entry, I was prepared to call the law. I was able to sit with her and hold her hand while we said our goodbyes and I love you. We both knew it was our last time to see each other. I won’t be going back. She wanted to be cremated, so there won’t be a funeral. She is better off now. She was in great pain.
