Interesting ... it looks like light is being refracted in concentric circles, as it flows out from the eruption crater...
It doesn’t look like a “rainbow” to me, but like alternating shades of lighter and darker concentric circles flowing out.
Just fyi..the name of the volcano translates to island mountain glacier. It is actually 3 words run into one.

Yes. There is an umlaut over the over the ‘o’ but that is difficult to pronounce or even transliterate into English. That’s as close as it gets.

Funny, but that may be close to the truth. They don’t look like the shock waves you see from artillery shells, e.g., although they seem to propagate like waves of some sort.
For one thing, it’s hard to identify explosions with the origin of the waves. I’m wondering if they aren’t actually waves originating from the sudden exposure of very high temperature lava, i.e. heat waves.
Similar things happen when Obama speaks...shock waves throughout the world...
Financial destruction...etc...
