Watching Gingrich cuddle with Nancy Pelosi on that couch, and now Jindal huddle in silence after his aide was attacked.

What the GOP is lacking isn't so much principles or an agenda.

What the GOP lacks is anyone willing to stand up for anything.

Palin does, spectacularly.

In Massachusetts last go around, Brown did.

Bachmann sure does.

In Florida, Rubio takes no quarter. And it might be noted, Rubio is making noises to support Romney.

Romney's not perfect, but at least he stands up and pushes back.

More than perhaps anything, that is what the GOP needs most.

Maybe it's time to cut Romney some slack, and support him when he speaks up. Which he does more than some others in the GOP "leadership".

Just a thought.

Yes, Mtt does deserve a second look.

Partisans are often BLIND.

‘m not happy with this health care bill in Mass.. I am also unhappy with Palin and her endorsing McPain. Mitt has learned from his mistake, but Palin insists on pushig RINO’s - McPain. Palin is a Populist; not a Conservative but people are too dumb to see the difference.

I would vote for MItt as President and Palin as VP. The two would be good in getting this country on the RIGHT track.

Have a blast Mitt bashers. That’s just the way it is for us.

People like Myth Romney RINO progressives that they are are the reason we are in the place we are.

MITT needs to go, and now. He draws 50 people to his book signings.

Several observations on Romney. He has failed to lead. He has set back primarily and observed the battle against Health Care. He has not fully embraced the Tea Parties. He was responsible for a Health Care plan much like Obama’s being put in place in Massachussetts. I just wish someone could show me how the man governed as a Conservative in Massachussetts. Also I don’t believe his social conservatism. I believe he is clearly open to the same old soft Republican ideas that lost the GOP power. If the winds were to change would he stand against Cap and Trade? No he’d accept the premises of the left and we’d have a Republican version of a bill to stop Climate Change. We one the right need to stop hoping for an easy win. It isn’t going to happen.

What we need is a candidate that at least can speak to the founding principles and stand up against the left no matter what is thrown at them. Sarah Palin is the only one who has done this. She is far from the perfect candidate but she is a fighter and she is one of us and it is about time someone who has actually worked in the private sector who has a history of standing up against the wind and someone who hasn’t been brainwashed in ivy leage schools. Someone who hasn’t hired illegal aliens (Mitt did).

Mitt if only he’d prove his alliegiances. Renounce Romneycare and really for once attack the left full on and stand his ground then maybe I’d believe his conversion but the way it stand John McCain is still more conservative than Mitt Romney.

How to get a 200+ post thread:

1. Suggest that Romney isn’t all bad. Check
2. Short vanity. Check
3. Mention Palin in the title. Check
4. Ask a seemingly naive question. Check
5. Voice an opinion that is directly contrary to what JimRob has stated. Check

I don’t think I am very interested in Mitt, but I sure could use a break from all of the bashing which is just tiresome and just doesn’t contribute much to the forum.

But I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Mitt deserves a second look.

He sure does! Why, I'm even warming to Barack Obama! I mean, when Romney endorses ObamaCare, it's time for me to rethink them both.

Heck, was communism really THAT bad? Maybe it will work this time!

I supported Romney in ‘08. Romneycare will make him the endless victim of “he was for it before he was against it” attacks. The MSM would love it. He's done.

I don't care if Mitt foams at the mouth when talking about Obama. He's a fraud and took credit for Obamacare.

Romney can piss off.

He still supports HIS health care program in Mass., is a gun-grabber, and just a run-of-the-mill RINO on most other subjects.

Why would we take another look at the same old Romney?!?!? He is still a supporter of unconstitutional government. If he, or someone like him gets the nomination, we will see 4 more years of the Obamessiah.

Careful. This isn’t “Free” Republic. It’s Mitt-Bashing Central. Tell them he uses Crest toothpaste and they’ll tell you he should be using Colgate. I have problems with Mitt, particularly RomneyCare, but I don’t despise the man as do so many here. Good luck.

I’d rather vote for Obama... at least he’s honest about wanting to “fundamentally change America.”
{IOW, Obama may be an open enemy, but that’s better than someone who is just pretending to be a friend.}

Oh, come on. We have the Tea Party movement that has energized people nationwide, with a call for smaller and non-intrusive government, less taxation, and a resounding NO to national healthcare.

And you come up with this ‘Well, gee, maybe we should reconsider one of our major RINOs’. Yeah, right. Dust off those brain molecules (or whatever) you haven’t used for awhile, and realize what is going on here.

We’re in the midst of a political revolution in this country. The people have had it, and they don’t want anymore of the same-ol’, same-ol’. They want change and that’s reflected in Obama’s unpopularity as well as Congress’s. Do you really believe that a Romney, with his flip-flop baggage and his Mass. health care baggage, will be THE candidate of choice for Americans in 2012?

If so, I have a beautiful vacation spa I want to sell you on the cheap. Send me your email and I’ll send the particulars. Pictures included. All for one low price...

Romney record and flip-flops make him very damaged goods and McLame’s “move” towards the right now is laughable. So who else is going to step up besides Palin?

We need need more conservatives to step up! I doubt if this is going to happen.

These are crazy times though, I never would have thought I would ever say that it’s too bad that Hillary won instead of Obama. She would have been a normal dem lib but she wouldn’t have been able to get away with 1/10 of the stuff that Obama does or push through such a radical agenda.
