Weird stuff seems to go with major comets. When a comet appeared in A.D. 60, the people of Rome assumed it meant the impending death of their still new emperor, Nero. He responded by exiling a potential rival. When another comet turned up just 4 years later, ancient historians say he ordered the execution of dozens of nobles. It is said that Moctezuma II saw a comet in 1517 that foreshadowed the downfall of Aztec empire. In 1910, a wave of hysteria swept over the United States amid reports that Earth was about to pass through Halley's tail.

I’m planning to pour the Restorative as soon as I put the cheese on the casserole.

Mail received, thanks! We enjoyed having you, and we knew your health can be chancy and didn’t have any problems with you!

No need to ping us so early :)

It was Friday my time when I started... and I didn't know when I would get another chance. I'm not even on for long tonight since I have to get up early tomorrow for another flight. (I should be in bed already but we haven't even had dinner yet.)

Just teasing you. On my clock it showed that you were posting at two in the morning.

Another trip? I hope they are paying you by the mile.

I knew you were.

Paying by the mile? I wish... It's not a lot of fun, but they're investing a good bit here and I think in the long run it will be good. Not looking forward to two weeks away, but I'll see an old family member who I haven't seen in a LONG time, have some other good times, some interesting work and learning experiences, and sit around bored the rest of the time. *\;-)

The benefits of "by the mile" come by other means.

LoM and I are beginning to discuss our tour of your part of the country this summer...

To: Tax-chick; Anoreth

I’ll send the rest out this week. One for each, including Anoreth!

It’s just a thing I do. Most people have never seen one, much less know they are even made. I’ve probably given away close to 50 of them in the last few years.

(And the “health” thingy? The brain goes first.)
