Bummer....came home this afternoon to find our (new at the time) 6 yr old refrigerator/freezer dying...dripping...spoiling.

The weird part is my sister-in-law 4 miles away lost hers 2 weeks ago...

..my daughter lost hers last week...

..and our good friends lost theirs last week too.

My husband, who is not given to conspiracy theories...thinks FPL is doing something with power surges.

And we have been having some power surges.

Do we sound like we need tinfoil?

It's kinda disheartening taking a giant garbage bag and emptying good stuff that's not good anymore & throwing it away....

....just wierd.

Or maybe I'm just tired...:(

No. To me, it sounds like you need to put your refridgerators on surge protectors (like many do for their computers). It helps protect against wild voltage fluctuations. We do that in Papua.

So sorry Guennie. We kept surge protectors on all appliances in Florida because we lost all of our appliances and telephones with a power surge. They will tell you that they they are not responsible(monetarily) for any loss you have because of it.
