Tomorrow is the County Assembly, where we will choose who we are putting on the ballot for all county offices for November. A number of the candidates are frequenters of the breakfasts. One of my favorites is Nancy Doty. She is a very delightful lady! Arap County Clerk

I’m not surprised she’s a breakfaster. It totally makes sense for a politician to want y’all to know him. The smart ones go to where the people are motivated and perhaps will volunteer to help with the campaign.

I remember a time when Alabama didn’t have republicans running for local offices.

She has held that position for a number of terms. She is one that I am so thankful that is not term limited. She is extremely politically savvy, and just a real sweetheart. She only misses the breakfasts rarely.

Good morning kind lady, sure looks good, had my bowl of grits and a ‘few’ cups of coffee and ready to go.

A little nippy out this morning, no problems for the roosters, singing up a storm, chasing the ‘lady’ chickens, cat gone plum crazy in my ‘shack’, maybe a tad of milk will calm him down, dogs barking, reckon nothing else for them to do.

Wke up this morning with the aame thought in my mind, we are in deep stuff with the ‘prez’ that is in office, saw where he signed over all but the kitchen sink to the ‘Ruskies’, all I want to say is ‘bye, bye to the way we DID business with the enemy.

Up and at it all, tis a day that the Lord hath made.
