Tiapam this is just beautiful and so true.
Thank you!!
Thankyou Jaycee! A great reminder that there was a great price paid for our redemption!!
Very powerful..Amen!
AH! Attack of the puppy! Great picture!
Pups are so wonderful. I was looking though old pics and saw the ones of our Bart who we got as a puppy and he is a red and rust.
Bailey was black and tan and we adopted him at 18 months. He was “part moose” by the time we got him.
The dog we will see tomorrow is also 18 months old.
There’s nothing like a puppy though. Although I still remember how Bart wore me out while he went through puppyhood! He’s still rambunctious and he’s nearly 4.
The dog we will visit Saturday is decribed as laid back and a couch potato, gets along with everyone, dogs and people, and has caused no trouble to his fostermom. That’s what I want this time around, a lower stress addition to the household.
Maybe next time we’ll get a pup. One of our vets at the UW-Madison gave us leads on 2 excellent dobie breeders who screen for many of the common ailments of the breed. Actually the vet was one of the breeders, although she is taking a break from it now, the other is a breeder the vet searched for in her quest to find a breeder who is very careful about screening breeding pairs for potential genetic problems. I am keeping those places noted for any future puppy needs.
For now, a rescue dog is going to land in our little farm where dogs and horses have the good life and we work and enjoy their company.
DoberRegards, TCP
I couldn't resist ANY of these cuties!
Thank you, SJB.
WOW!! Very powerful!
Amen.
Thank you, Yorkie.
Priceless cuties!
LOL.
I know it took a lot of space
But, the words hit home!
I am so far behind in everything in life & trying to catch up on this thread before it reaches 2000 posts!
I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Sounds like a painful & ardous situation.
Many of the posters here know of FReeper Wheelbarrow, who will be 85 in a few months. He has been going thru “teeth issues” for a couple years. At his new location/home in NJ he has gone to a dental college for help. He did the same in Cleveland but left before the permanent teeth were finished. He is now in a group home there.
He also has no insurance & no $$ either so it has been challenging. In the 3 year ordeal w/o teeth his weight has gone done significantly. He once was 6’1’ but from osteorporsis etc he is half a foot shorter than me (and I am 5’8”).. He weighs about 100 pounds.
Quix you are such an inspiring poster ... I love your christianity pings, your UFO pings & your sweet spirit of youth.
God Bless you & Happy Easter!
Prayers for your son Mark, CO... my goodness that is awfully young to have teeth issues.. what was the cause? if you dont mind sharing
He is about my son’s age.
oh!!!! Robin eggs! How sweet!
You Stinker!
Well dang Gail! It is bad enough when we ladies get.. ahem.. older that too much sags & droops(face, boobs, stomach, butt).. but now you are telling me the eyelids too will do so?
Wondering if this is just another law of gravity & aging issue or if there are some facial exercises to do to prevent?
Heal well dear lady!
OK - it was April Fool’s Day - and I have done that each April 1 since I joined here. (With the boss’s permission.) LOL!
Didn’t ‘catch’ as many this year though. But couldn’t resist the graphic, with the words already printed (since I don’t know how to do that.)
((((HUGS))))
well, I missed it prior years. You “got” me!
VERY CLEVER!
BTW bleeding lessening.
THX FOR THE PRAYERS.
