"What these two countries could not achieve from years of talking, has been resolved by global warming," said Hazra.

Al must be so proud of himself for having forseen this.

Somehow, I think this is the work of King Solomon. Since the two countries could not figure out how to share the island, then Solomon simply took it away.

Aren’t these the same scientists who said that 120% of the Netherlands was below sea level?

The island sank.

But the timeless geological forces that made it sink - obviously, they were due to global warming.

For nearly 30 years, India and Bangladesh have argued over control of a tiny rock island in the Bay of Bengal. Now rising sea levels have resolved the dispute for them: the island's gone.

Well, if Cuba completely disappears, then we're in big doo doo. There's a mountain peak there over 6,500 feet tall. This I learned from my fellow Freepers, I take no credit for knowing this of my own accord.

I thought about the rising sea level taking out other undesirable places until I realized I’m at only 25 foot MSL.

I'm fairly safe from rising sea waters, but it Albuquerque, so I'm likely to be wiped out by a drunk driver first.

Wiki says it was discovered by a satellite in 1974. My best guess is, it was a sandbar that washed away.

This is the most misleading crap to come out of the MSM is awhile. This ‘island’ popped up after a hurricane and was discovered way back in 1974. It’s in the mouth of a huge river delta. You do the math. Global warming my ass.
