“Virtual colonoscopy”!? ... I’m sorry but I try and stay away from that part of the Internet. ... *snicker*

Interesting article - I’ll consider a virtual colonoscopy my next time around.

Ok, I’ll be clear on this one.
I don’t mind the intravenious drugs, I don’t mind the scope probe, I don’t even mind the hospital gown that exposes me at the slightest breeze.
It’s the day BEFORE that I object too. First off, that stuff tastes nasty ... even lime flavoring doesn’t help. And the results of the nastiness is far worse than anything else I’ve ever experienced voluntarily.
Gemme a virtual colonoscopy that doesn’t require the ‘Prep’ and I’ll be the first one in line.

Ah, but does it require the same prep? The scoping itself is a non-event to the scopee who is blissfully sedated. But the prep! Holy mother of pearl, memories of choking down a handful of tablets with a couple of glasses of water every few hours, virtually tethered to the bathroom, it takes a supreme effort to do this the third or fourth time. And only after the fact did I learn the small miracle of Desitin.
And if the virtual scoping discovers something, does not one need to do the prep a second time for the non-virtual search-and-destroy scoping?

Sorry, too expensive so treatments are limited. At the moment there is a 16 month wait for the facility in California.
However, we do have a flashlight on a stick in the back room. That is available next month. Obamacare, 2014
