Good Morning Everyone, I’m so mouthy this a.m., I forgot to greet you.

I do that all of the time and mean nothing by it. Guess I'm too comfortable in my group....Good Morning!

Well, in a nutshell, Wreckconciliation basically fixes the Intolerable Act by making it more Intolerable (more taxes).

I've decided not to be depressing and just leave it at that.

Yet another Communist cramdown from the we know better than you crowd:

BAC, under pressure from the Obamination, says that by writing down the principal in some home loans, the housing market can be stabilized by keeping more Americans in their homes.

WRONG!

Doesn't anyone understand basic economics anymore?

The housing market will be stabilized by getting people back to work in meaningful jobs!!

NOT by forcing banks to become housing charities.

IT'S A MIRACLE!!

OBAMINATION PLAN SAYS BANKS SHOULD CHARGE NO MORE THAN 31 PERCENT OF A BORROWERS INCOME FOR A MORTGAGE - IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Let's all quit our jobs - free housing!!!

Not making this up!

Since there seems to be all sorts of blogs out there saying what we should do to or with this or that Congresscritter, I think I'll join in.

WARNING - ADULTS AT WORK HERE; COMMUNISTS (Especially Eugene Robinson of the Washington Pravda's staff) MAY LEAVE NOW!

It seems to be the in thing to send nasty notes to Communist members of Congress.

Not a bad idea. But I would suggest that we provide a somewhat more sensible tone to the materials we provide.

Rather than hurl a brick through a window, let's have mailsack after mailsack show up with language befitting someone over the age of, oh, say, 10.

Let's try this - feel free to replicate - feel free to send to your Congress Critter :

**************************************************

Dear Congressman (or Congresswoman, or Senator) [fill in last name here]:

I have taken note of your vote recently regarding the reform of the Nation's health care system. I note also that your vote was to pass the reform sought by the Chief Executive.

Sadly, your vote on this matter did not comport with my views, your constituent.

Accordingly, as your constituent, my vote on November 2, 2010, will not comport with your continued tenure in Congress.

//s//

[Your typed name.]

************************************************

You can put it on a post card.

If you want to send to a Congresscritter that is not yours, there is nothing that prohibits you from doing so. We'll need a couple of tweaks. Use this:

**************************************************

Dear Congressman (or Congresswoman, or Senator) [fill in last name here]:

I have taken note of your vote recently regarding the reform of the Nation's health care system. I note also that your vote was to pass the reform sought by the Chief Executive.

Sadly, your vote on this matter did not comport with mine.

Accordingly, I will work to endeavor that the outcome of the November 2, 2010 does not comport with your continued tenure in Congress.

//s//

[Your typed name.]

************************************************

And, please, don't use a brick as the delivery mechanism!

I’d be interested to read about some of the most egregious and ludicrous tax increases in the Wreckonciliation bill, if you ever feel like posting about them.

And if not, that’s OK too.

And if not, that’s OK too.

The big one - it's the 3.8% surtax on passive income and capital investments to the extent such income causes your adjusted gross to exceed $250K. That's been adjusted a bit.

The floor has moved somewhat. And folks ain't gonna like it.

The floors associated with this calculation are now:

$250K - married filing joint
$125K - married filing separately
$200K - single

Note the rather blatent marriage penalty!

Other provisions include the indexing to inflation for the subsidy provisions (meaning they will get worse with time!) starting with 2014. The indexing changes a bit now in 2018 - with the index changing to the medical care inflation rate (guaranteed to be higher under this legislation particularly when you see --->) but to the extent that it (subsidies in the aggregate) exceeds 0.504% (who came up with that number??) of GDP.

[As an aside - that number is approximately $60 billion, which is approximately $200 per capita. Since the insurance industry KNOWS that anyone making less than $88K/annum is going to be subsidized to some extent, how much you wanna bet the increases will close on that number per year?]

But, then again, the penalty for not having insurance actually went down (very slightly) if I understood the provision correctly (I think I need a HCR version of TurboTax to calculate it accurately!). If that's so, with the no pre-existing conditions rule, look for insurance companies to have to jack rates to cover all those who got sick and then decided it was time for insurance (look back to the last paragraph!!!)

Adult dependents until 26 - that results in imputed income. Fun calculation at tax time! It also means (so much for no middle income class tax hike!) that if your 24-year old child is not a dependent but you put them on your health plan because your kid's employer doesn't offer health insurance, and the single person plan in your insurance is $500, you pay tax on the $500. Thank you very much!

There's likely more, but that's what I've found out so far.

It would use up to $14 billion of what remains of the $700 billion bailout to let borrowers refinance up to 115 percent of the value of the homes they live in.

Ack!

We know you're underwater so we are going to help you by...

...allowing you to restart underwater.

Obviously their math is a product of recent public education. [But that's ok, they're lowering those standards too - can't have little Johnny actually be able to calculate how badly he's being screwed or to read someone else's analysis!]

WOW! SUCH A MORNING FROM MY DEAR FRIENDS!!!!!You all have made one each old man very happy!!!! But got to admit, never in my wildest dreams did I ever dream that I would live to this old age, God has smiled upon me, and I have already planned out my day, do nothing for a while, rest, do nothing some more and if this cat I got does not cool it, he won’t be around to enjoy it with me.

Sorry I am late getting in today, got to reading the rest of the book I am on and ‘snoozed’ off.

The weather here is so pretty, no clouds, no wind, still as a mouse.

Thank you all for the ‘happys’ and now to clean up my ‘shack in the back’ and listen to more of what our ‘prez’ has done in snubbing Isreal, what a jerk he is.
Toby

I now have in my hands the Republican report from the Ways and Means Committee showing the timeline for the Intolerable Acts (there are two now, recall - the original and Wreckonciliation).

Will post once I get the remarks worked in.
